i for one hope he does well. always came across as a nice boy in his interviews and his first professional goal interview is still a tear jerker! plus if he does good then we get that sweet 20% sell on fee. astonished we got so much for him though with a year left on his deal.
think it's a very silly move for him though. he had his critics here but the majority of fans especially at games held him in very high regard, we all wanted him to come good and to throw that away could be to his detriment. he will have expectations at bristol from the fans as they have built it up in their head that they're signing the next benteke and he will lead them to glory. if he takes too long to establish himself he'll be in for a bad time.

People get sucked in by the fact he looks the part. A real unit and a powerhouse.
Unfortunately, in reality I never saw him in one solitary game run the show or put in a stand out performance. Not once.

He's a pub player who thinks a goal is a personal development ambition.

bristol fans acting like they've just signed messi Guess they must have watched his impressive showreel!: Almost laughable that those actually are best clips of his time here and someone played £2+ mil for him.

They missed the Leicester goal? One of his few moments that maybe made me wonder if there might be a player in there

On the lack of contract disclosure that seems to get some very agitated (not necessarily on this board I might add). Is it that the club etiquette is for a club to put in an offer and if accepted, then the buying club is allowed to speak to the player. That offer is dependent on a number of things, including remaining contract length. So, if a buying club knows the contract length of the qpr player, they have clearly already spoken to the player and/or their agent. This helps us decide whether we want to try to keep the player as if they’ve spoken to other clubs , their head is elsewhere…..and “Most importantly, we need individuals who are as convinced and excited about the project that the club is now building as we are, whilst respecting budgetary constraints”

Nice parting words from Sincs. Such respect for 'Mr Critchley, Mr Beale, Mr Ainsworth and Mr Cifuentes' - and the club as a whole.

Seen a post on Facebook about Armstrong that doesn't look good for him. Bit of a wanker if it's true. I can ask the guy if I can share it here.

Any chance of enlightening me? if what I saw is same as ginge apparently last season away from home at Rotherham the QPR mascot knocked on door to go in and he told them to fuck off. I personally can’t see that myself but there are few backing the story as true. Whilst I don’t rate him I’ve never really seen or suspected rude side to him towards fans so I’m inclined to not believe it.

Who wants a fucking mascot prancing around when its time to do the business? Can you imagine SAF accomodating that kind of shite when he's trying to get them set? Or lay into them?

I am surprised by some of the fans comments on Armstrong does not seem like he has an awful lot of support. I’ve seen people online who used to hang out the back of him with praise now slating him. All very bizarre

All very bizarre transfers are like breakups. you sing your partner's praises when you're together but once you break up they're an awful person

The "thing" with him is that his power and speed are enough to make up for his short comings. Most of the time that is..

For what it`s worth; according to OTIB he scored and impressed in his first match for Bristol City.

Can someone tell an old fart how to put up a twitter post without it being a link?😂 1 Choose your Tweet. 2 Click on the three dots at the top right of the Tweet 3 Click </> EMBED POST 4 This will take you to a publish.twitter.com page 5 If the top, black section of the page scrolls out of sight (it does on my Mac), scroll back up to the top of the page 6 You will see a heading ‘What would you like to embed’, with a link in a box underneath. Copy that link. 7 Back on the forum page, click on REPLY then the blue REPLY box on the right (rather than the default QUICK REPLY on the left) 8 In the row of tools icons running along the top of the edit box, click the INSERT EMBED icon (the furthest right) - it looks like </>9 This brings up Social Media icons - choose the blue Twitter bird (they’ve not updated it to X yet) 10 In the pop-up box, paste the Tweet link from Step 6 11 Click EMBED and CREATE POST 12 Job done

Wells scored one and created several chances for Armstrong who true to form couldn't hit the barn door until a late tap in from a couple of yards out. He did the same for us in our 11-0 pre-season win. Impressed people with his pace and power.........where have we heard that before. Good luck to him but one swallow doesn't make a summer. Even he goes on to score double figures for them no use worrying or saying we should have kept him. He was not going to sign a new contract so taking the cash now was 100% the right move as he was not going to figure much with us.
