They said that about Les Ferdinand when he was banging them in for Hayes following his transfer from Southall 🤣 He's no Sir Les

I think he’s got huge potential I would back him to turn into a decent player over fall away

Scoring is a nice habit, keep him involved off the bench. Keep the chance in front of him.

Looks to me like Beale giving him some full matches in the U21s was exactly what the lad needed (as he'd previously said) and was a bit of a masterstroke.
In Beale we trust, dare we say?! 😂

In Beale we trust, dare we say?! 😂 for now we have to begrudgingly trust him. but the second he gets it wrong then i will be pointing out all of his errors from the comfort of my armchair with the gift of hindsight fresh in my mind!

It’s gone very quiet on any news when Armstrong has recovered from a slight knock a couple of weeks ago to be included in either first team matches or with the U21s
I’m probably over reacting but he appears to suffer an lot of injuries.

My word how good was he with that storming run into the box? Ok maybe not a cut and dried pen but one thing that puts the fear of God into defenders is running at pace and skill into the box. Two of them on him with one making contact. Probably a pen but yes, the red was harsh.
Another player who is being perfectly handled and developed by the gaffer, and I reckon with a great future ahead of him.

Really nice interview. Great to hear that DoF Les gets involved with coaching the strikers too, which has been a hot topic of debate for some time.

An absolute powerhouse whose confidence will grow and grow if given time on the pitch.
Rough around the edges and needs a bit of composure but fuck me there is definitely a player in there dying to score.
When he gets that first goal the roof will come off.
Really excited about this kid.

Blistering pace, power, intent... last night we saw what we've seen in flashes already this season, this boy is electric! I so enjoyed watching him live last night, everything about that game had an almost dreamlike air to it, the dimmed floodlights adding to the atmosphere.
But I have to say I really enjoyed being back at Rangers for the first time this season, especially on such an auspicious night: the presence of our last great manager, St. Colin of Warnock, on the pitch at half time, felt like an omen to me, like he was annointing his successor. And I was saying to those around me in SA that I had a feeling Beale was going to stay.
With players like Sinclair, Tim, Ken Paal and Nathan Laird bursting into the first team, our existing players rejuventated and Mick Beale staying, the future looks bright for Rangers.

Looked a bit lost today. It’s fine, he’s v inexperienced and clearly has raw talent, power and determination but not sure he is a starter yet when everyone fit

I think it's mental because it's obvious he tries too hard and therefore has no ball control. Needs to go back to the B team to gain confidence imo.

He was giving Wigan something to think about and Dykes had more freedom around him. I bet Wigan were glad he was off so that makes it a poor decision.

Spent most the first half slipping over lying on the pitch. Defo potentials as said above possibly trying to hard.

I bet Wigan were glad he was off so that makes it a poor decision. me neither, its a perfect game to let him run about in. beale has explain why though and has said it was a tactical as well as a fitness issue for sinclair. apparently sinclair was knackered which tbh, he did look very tired towards the end of the first half. he's 19 so on one hand he should be jumping over buses but on the other hand its a different level of fitness in the pro's game plus he's a bit too enthusiastic lol.

If it was a fitness issue, it was the right decision to take him off.
I'm actually happy the Manager is easing Armstrong in slowly. Loads of talent and looks a hell of an athlete, but he's raw and still learning the game.
Al will argue with me here, but I actually think he'd benefit from another loan. Needs must though, and we ain't blessed with many proper strikers. He'll play a big part this season I think.

The boy creates a lot of space for his teammates by running at the defense nonstop. Would probably learn a lot from a loan spell in league one, but I think he is good enough to make a difference for our own team, like he did against Cardiff. And he will learn a lot from staying here too.

Thought he done really well today. Lots of energy, using his strength and pace and playing people in and making sensible passes.
The last couple of games he's been shooting from all over the place but he looked more of a complete forward today.
In fairness to him there was two balls whipped into the box where he literally would have had a tap in but the defenders just about cleared it.
His goal is coming.

Interesting comments I see the sense in the argument that a loan would serve him well but I think his case is borderline compared to others that have gone out on loan as Armstrong does look able to do something in the first team where as Duke McKenna and Masterson etc are not ready to do anything other then short cameos off bench so loans served their development. Think Armstrong more advanced than them so earns place in squad.
He does tend to shoot when he should hold or give the ball and he spends way too much time falling over but he’s learning his trade and game time will improve him.
If he was up for loan then I think abroad, if you could find right club, would be better development experience then lower leagues in England.
If nurtured could be a big money maker for us in the future.
