The average team who has the best bad run will stay in the top 6 as Boro Sheff Utd and Forest will finish strongly. Up to these players now to roll up their sleeves and show some bollox.

Bill, nobody is disagreeing that we could have used an additional striker. The point is none of our targets came off and we probably didn't have financial capability to bring in someone genuinely capable of improving our squad.

Tarbie just a laugh agree to differ
Think we could and should of brought one in but the board bottled it.
Especially as we only have Gray that is anywhete near a striker,Dykes couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo and Austin who dont seem bothered.

Ain't a case of agreeing to differ mate. It's a fact that clubs up and down the country struggled to land a goalscorer this window. Look at West Ham, 4th in the Prem and plenty of money. They couldn't manage to get a striker in. If Antonio gets injured they will be reliant on Yarmolenko or a False 9 for the rest of the season.
Get your head around the fact there are less strikers available to English clubs at the moment than clubs that want to buy them. With our limited resources, what is it that makes you think it was an easy task to bring in someone in January?
Honestly, some of our fans are behaving like kids who never got the Xmas present they want at the moment!

Could at least have recalled Bonne. Sell him to Ipswich at end of season. Would have given us some injury insurance and an option.

I am a bit confused about this guy Domingos Quina. Barnsley got him on loan from Watford on deadline day. MW ‘warned’ our players to watch out for him so I assume a young, pacey, attacking player rated by MW was known to the club. Watford to doomed Barnsley or Watford to W12 and a decent in form team? Hmmm……..

The disparities in purchasing power are making football played below the Premier League like a shock non-league win in the FA Cup.

Prior to his departure, he told us earlier he was off on a road trip to Spain to sort out the sale of his mum's house, and needed to 'tie up a few loose ends'. He was even asking us for some advice on it here, so thought it only polite to ask how it went: rfantasyisland.boards.net/thread/2298/help-on-off-chance

It’s a lot easier and quicker to sell house out there. Wheels in motion 3 weeks ago, 2 hours day arrived to make sure paperwork ok. Then next day all done 3 hours later. 17 degrees down the coast, fucking freezing at night up the mountain.

Going up automatically wouldn't be the QPR way. Too straightforward.
Reckon we're destined for another tense-filled Wembley day in the sun.

In a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 formation they can do well imo, but that is another discussion or off-topic. Sorry.

Get to the play offs and first you have to beat someone like Boro or Forest over two legs before you can even dream of Wembley.

Different game. Don’t know why it should be but it is. I actually think the opposite mate Done reasonably well last two seasons in knock out format and it’s entirely different ask to league. We are in the main pretty resilient at the back and don’t concede that many and have a game changer in Willock Generally It’s not the best side that wins the playoffs it’s the one who for three games keep clean sheets and reduce the errors Not a walk in Park but I certainly would not write us off if that’s were we end up. As good as anyone imo in that format

As good as anyone imo in that format I certainly wouldn't write us off, for sure, but equally I wouldn't write us in. Think some fans (not you) equate play offs with promotion, but at the risk of stating the bleeding obvs its only a 25% chance. A lot depends on form going into it and that's too early to judge. At the moment you would fear Boro and Forest but for all we know they could fade as Blackburn (and we) have done and someone like Sheffield United cd come up on the rails. Wd fancy our chances against Blackburn or Huddersfield, but so much just depends on the day like any cup tie.
