Time to start talking? 20 games left. Need 9 more wins. Only Boro and Forest can drop us.

We win our game in hand, we’re 2nd. We may not be good enough and player for player and money we shouldn’t be 2nd……but fuck it, as a qpr fan, football fan…..we’ve got to look at 2nd surely? Let’s worry about playoffs when we can’t make top 2. Cardiff under Warnock were certainly not 1 of 2 best sides in the league but they did it. We have tremendous fight and spirit….and we have some game winners in Willock, Albert, Chair, Austin, Gray…..got to dream mate. What footballs all about.

Always thought we would make the play offs - and have a large bet riding on it. Anything beyond that still totally up in the air IMHO. On odds checker or whatever it will show we have five wins out of five (if you count the cup game) but we al know they have been incredibly close games. cd very easily be looking at another set of circumstances entirely so think we should keep our feet on the ground a bit. But if we beat Swansea and Reading, the boys come back from AFCON and we have done some good business in the window, who knows what could be possible...

Why can't we finish in the top 2? Have to be hopeful as on our day we can match anyone and we also now have players playing in a settled team. Albert and Gray today and Chaz last week. If we can get Dykes back on the scoresheet then we have to believe we can.

I keep thinking how lucky we are being. Would like to see us dominate games a bit more. We won’t do that until the ball sticks up top instead of keep coming back. Gray not great but is best we’ve got for that - and he gets subbed. 6 point week coming up.

The league is the weakest it's been for a long time demonstrated by our position. We aren't all that. we hear every season the league is weak. I think that’s a load of guff the league is the league. It’s made up of former and recent premier league sides We’re simply making the most of the tools we have at our disposal and getting the fine margins right

Anything is still possible of course. In terms of likelihood...
1) Most likely we'll reach the play-offs. 2) We'll implode and drop out of the play-off places 3) We'll qualify for automatic promotion 4) I think we're safe from relegation
I really have to blink and see where we are. We've played some good football and got some great results. We've dug deep and come back from losing positions to win when perhaps we haven't 'deserved' to.
Surely, it's going to blow up in our faces - it's the QPR way!
But I'm enjoying it until it does.

STICK OR TWIST
So we're in a strong position in a questionable division and the window closes in seven days.
From a business point of view, it's very hard to argue against some degree of investment at this point to help facilitate a massive dividend. We don't have to go mad, but there is a strong argument that doing nothing is madness because we're short in key areas and that could prove very costly.
So how much, if anything, would you allocate? If you could only strengthen one area, where would that be?

Striker. GD might let us down. Might get really tight this season Couldn’t agree more. We’re not prolific. Given we are pushing for automatic, out goal difference is relatively poor. Most games we are only winning by the odd goal.

Said this back in December. The fate of our season depends on the jan window.
I small investment of a couple of mil on a good striker could make all the difference in getting promotion.
Personally think, 3 or 4 mil is worth a gamble on a good striker. Even paying a loan fee of a couple of mil to bring in a prem striker like a Dwight Gale or even the lad at villa or even Nikita at arsenal.
Let’s have a go at it.

There's more form in a class full of 12 yr old girls than dykes, and if they from basildon they know how to score.

Largely stick although I’d make a cheeky enquiry for Elijah Adebayo at Luton.

Hugil available, got to be better than skippy Anyone’s better than the caber tosser. He is starting one of those 20 games without a goal, runs again. hopefully he bags 8 in the playoffs lol. but i agree that a new striker is a must, its just a case of who. gray scores but i'm still not sold on him, he's never had a game for us where i've thought "wow, he's a right handfull" whereas dykes and austin have both had excellent games for us at times. we have no one who really leads the line well which ends up putting a lot of pressure on chair and willock to step up and carry the team. if we had a good striker that caused problems it'd open up even more space for chair and willock to cause mayhem. i wouldn't mind so much about dykes' goalscoring record if he contributed to games the way warbs says he does. he doesn't win many headers/flickons nor does he give the opposing defenders much of a challenge. for example, big matt smith used to excel at that even if he was a very limited player.

Largely stick although I’d make a cheeky enquiry for Elijah Adebayo at Luton. i'd love him here regardless of if we go up or not. if we go up i expect us to come straight back down again (although by putting up a good fight) and think adebayo could be the kind of striker that could be a 20-25 goal a season striker at this level. cracking player imo

There's normally some news about transfers from the post-match press conference but haven't seen any rumours.
Last thing I saw was Sanderson due on Monday for talks about a poss loan.

Maybe some decent cover at LB/RB as Wallace and Adomah won't be able to play every game.
Certainly a striker if Dykes is offloaded.
