As it stands goals scored, Fulham aside, we are right up there Amazing. We're equal top scorers with Bournemouth and one behind Blackburn.

Were we though? Look at Bournemouth for example. The truth is the board weren't prepared to invest in a business opportunity, and ironically that could end up costing them big time. what’s Bournemouth got do with what we can financially afford? So they operate under exactly the same EFL FFP regs as we do. Point was they decided to invest, we didn't, at a time when both clubs had a very similar level of opportunity. Let's see what happens.

They have gone for it and if they do not go up then Parker will be sacked.

Astonishing that some people have learned nothing about overspending.

Astonishing that some people have learned nothing about overspending. But what would constitute overspending under these circs? If you run a business, sometimes you need to invest. Like I said a million times, we don't have to go mad again, no one wants that, but doing nothing is also a financial gamble.

I can see how we lost out to Villa but Boro’, Stoke, Preston, even Hugill to Cardiff - how did we get none of the rumoured targets? Maybe all just BS.

Must literally live hand to mouth or on the never never as many think we should just spunk money left right and centre Perhaps the budget people saying should be pushed was actually pushed in the summer getting every player we wanted. There is only so many times you can return to the well before it runs dry

Dont buy it,as a club we have to show ambition.
There is a hell of a big difference between what we did before and the amount we are talking about now surely.
If we miss out dont start if only, maybe or we could have, its to bloody late.

None were big signings that we can’t or won’t get involved in - even Hugill going on loan to Cardiff.

I'd guess around 30 grand a week. He's always been on big money since West Ham signed him.

If we miss out dont start if only, maybe or we could have, its to bloody late. we showed ambition by rejecting all interest in dieng, dickie, chair and dykes of which there was numerous reports making the rounds. could have sold them all and brought in 30m easily but we kept hold because we wanted to have a crack at a promotion.

Did we though Corbs? Probably just the rumour mill - same as Maja, Balogun etc. etc. Since Sky started having to fill their time I don’t know what to believe.

Don't actually think any genuine offers came in for any of our players. I do believe we tried to sign 4 or 5 different attacking players. Nothing was happening for what we were prepared to spend.

Which was my point - we can’t compete at the top table and disappointing that we can’t compete at the lower level either.
