Only advantage of being relegated is the rules on FFP significantly change. www.financialfairplay.co.uk/scmp.phpIn theory the owners can inject funds into the club and there is no limit to the spend on transfer fees. A sensible owner could rebuild completely in league 1 to return to the championship in a much better state. I hasten to add I don’t trust ours to do so. total rebuild probably means minimum of 2/3 years down there ☹️ I’d take it at the moment providing we come back stronger because at present we are just delaying the inevitable. A reset is imperative

I personally think we should be able to reset in championship after all we had more or less done that under Warburton until board went bat crazy.
In hindsight that run of form end of covid with Loanees was probably the downfall as board kind of went all in there.

The board are still clueless as shown by this choice of manager as last four managers have been nore of a coach type where as GA is like Holloway so basically we have gone back on the last 5 or 6 years of progress/style of play.

I wish we’d stop talking about relegation as in any way a positive. It would be a fucking disaster for our club. Bounce straight back? Having a laugh.

Indeed - tho’ ironically the criticism of the fanbase was generally that they didn’t go for it enough

Good interview imo. Answered each question as honestly and transparently as he could. I'm sure some of the answers he gives will annoy or frustrate people but I think a lot of it outlines just how hamstrung clubs are by FFP. Good news that we aren't in breach of those rules though. Said it before and I'll say it again, getting rid of Hoos would be a very bad idea. I think financially we're in solid hands with him.

I wish they'd produce transcripts. I haven't the time to watch or listen to him.

I think that there are many people that would be able to do this but be better at bringing in revenue. Good with numbers yes but seems to lack a bit of commercial ambition.

His has been an abject failure since he came in. I think Hoos has financially steadied the ship and kept it that way, something we badly needed and still need right now. Easy to piss and moan about why we aren't spending anything etc etc etc but that fact is, if we aren't allowed to spend, we simply can't. Same people saying that would be screaming the loudest if we did spend and breached FFP.

i found the part were he was asked about if whether he and les have done a good job. he was very open with his own abilities and shortcomings but didn't so much as mention les

Switched it off after hearing him talk about players ability, don’t trust him and he looks too scruffy to be a CEO.

Indeed - tho’ ironically the criticism of the fanbase was generally that they didn’t go for it enough More that they simply didn't do it properly. Many fans in the last Warbs Jan transfer window were saying we should have spent more. We only get Hendricks who was obvs worse than useless - except, of course, against us this year - but it later turned out I believe that he was effectively a freebie, so not getting him wouldn't have increased the budget.

Freebie or not - I’m guessing not, whatever the story is - he was of no value to the team, quite the opposite. Terrible decision.

And the main responsibility for that one lays with Warburton who played him week after week despite his absolutely abysmal performances. The same Warburton some on here think was the saviour. He'd gone stale by that point.

Furthermore, didn't he tell Les at the time that signing a striker in January was not a priority, which they disagreed over, and is what precipitated him not having his contract renewed?

Basically if we are honest we need new owners As ours are shit and have wrecked the club
Yes they do put there money in every month But they caused this situation
They have been crap for over 12 years now
Sell up we need new owners and new blood
Otherwise we cannot go forward anymore
