Was on loan at Villa so may have come recommended… CM - Not a position we’re short in though, i’d have thought i'd argue with ball being off that we probably need one CM, depending on the system we play. we only really have stef, dozzell, amos and field the latter 2 both stayed relatively fit last season but still have a reputation for getting injured. we have SDM of course but is he good enough to be the backup CM in the event of field/amos/both getting injured? |

Whether we need more midfielders depends on the formation surely?
If 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 is the preferred option, you essentially need 3 CM's. Meaning you probably need around 6 specialist CM's in the squad.

Unless Armstrong and Kelman are tearing it up in training and turn out to be the new Allen and Goddard we need a striker who has scored some goals. Granted, that did apply to the postman but I can’t see that Bonne and Dykes are going to get us anywhere. Maybe there’s a plan to push Willock up - would explain continued interest in midfielders?
