Wd much prefer their other midfielder, this guy has never left much of an impression on me when watching Reading Water carrier mate. Very much in the Karl Henry mould I think. Place in the squad for players like that. I'd be disappointed if he was the extent of our ambitions when it comes to new additions in the midfield. |

Thought we had Field and Dozzell for those roles, but I guess it is a squad game. He is much more "box to box" than Dominic Ball mate. Not like Dozzell either who really should be operating as more of a central midfield playmaker (although I don't think he's good enough at this level, from what I've seen). Good to have options in the middle of the park, but I do think we need more creativity in there. |

But I notice he hardly has a goal to his name - which ain’t good for a box to box midfielder. Amos doesn’t impose himself on a game enough for me yet but what he does do is score goals. We need more of that next season assuming we are again crying out for a clinical 20 goal a season striker. |

Mata will know Beale from his time at Chelsea and it's likely that there is some truth in him still having property in the area. I just can't see it though. Unless he's just happy to have a regular game and isn't concerned about what he's earning.

I doubt very much he wants to come back to Loftus Road after the last time here with Chelsea. Remember him going to take a corner by R block, shat himself and Lampard had to take it. Got absolutely canned, ran off to the centre circle, stood there for 10 minutes and got subbed. Absolutely fantastic. Twat.

Literally the whole of Q and R block were on him. I think the chant was "you're gay and your wife's a dyke." Would be frowned upon these days of course, but at the time it was quite funny. |
