No one has mentioned Slaven Bilic In what sense? I'll mention him now if you like. Slaven Bilic was a great player, a hard bastard and I bloke I genuinely have a lot of time for, but I'd never have him here as Manager. Was that the sort of thing you were looking for? 🤣 |

Bilic has barely lasted a season pretty much everywhere he has been aside from the Croatia national job. Surely that should be a huge red flag?

Ainsworth being stuck at a struggling club for 10 years is a bigger red flag imo. Tommy Docherty with us and Brian Clough at dirty Leeds would probably put that theory to bed. |

I agree with “be aware of people that job hop” but I’m probably guilty of doing the same in my career that’s now finished.
I’ve worked abroad a fair bit in my time and if somebody was willing to pay more money for my employment I would leave to pastures new.

Been locked indoors for close to a fortnight with my 2nd dose of COVID Gen. Gave me a fucking kicking for a 2nd time. Probably need to go out and blow off some steam. Yesterday is the first day in ages I ain't tested positive.

Under the current financial circumstances and the route of developing players,then I would probably say none.
MW was brought into a club that had lost its identity. We had experienced the band of 3 in midfield, a poor back 5 and an ever change in direction for the club.
MW stabilised it and improved the club season on season.
Now it’s not MW fault that our fan base suddenly expected results beyond our budget and on the whole largely got them.
MW Has made mistakes. He recruited players for only one formation (no wingers), he didn’t recruit well in Jan and recent results poor.
Would I want MW starting the new season? Damn sure I do!

Now it’s not MW fault that our fan base suddenly expected results beyond our budget and on the whole largely got them. And I certainly would agree that the fanbase showed entirely human and understandable frustration and angst over our team's complete collapse through February, March and April when you take into account we were challenging for automatic promotion just prior to that. |
