McCreery, Micklewhite, and Gordon Hill were decent and were from Man U. Would guess we’ve had more shite from sw6 Very true. But against that - Mike Fillery, Johnny Spencer and one of my favourite players was from Chelsea (albeit indirectly) six foot two, eyes of blue...
And don't forget Furs! Okay, not direct from Ch.... but anyway...

I modelled my haircut on Gordon Hill's when I was 15.

I’d take Junior Stanislas for a season. Always liked him. Just been released from Bournemouth. That'd be a very good signing imo.

That would be a very smart move for us. This kid was prolific at Sunderland.

I think we tried pretty hard to sign Josh Maja in 2019. If he didn't fancy it then, I very much doubt he's gonna fancy it now! 🤣

Thinking about it, it might have even been later than 2019 we were courting him. Do you remember Jimmy, might have been during the pandemic?
What's happened to his career that he's not got options now?

Calling him "unemployed" is a bit of a stretch. By that logic Ryan Manning is unemployed for about a month every summer. Agree would be a great signing if his attitude doesn't stink and his greedy agent is not holding out for silly money. Big "if" tho.

Wouldn’t say no to another Jamal Lowe loan if funds allow. I’d completely forgotten about him. Do you rate him then? because you have a very dry sense of humour occasionally. He was ok last season but not as good as I expected him to be. His touch is decent and is composed in dangerous areas but he doesn’t have natural dribbling skills like Willock or Chair when he’s on it. His main attributes are his slightly better than average pace and previously was a quite a clinical finisher at his previous clubs Maybe it’s just hope but Wells was a bit average in his first loan here but stepped up a few gears in his second spell, he appeared to suit Ainsworths needs as he played a fair bit.

Agree with Sparks Lowe was type of player who never blew me away. If he signed I would not have any problems with it but equally if he went elsewhere I would shrug my shoulders.

I agree with this, but he didn't rip much up, did he? Too often disappeared. But mentality rather than ability seems the problem. Wouldn't mind bringing him back. But he'd genuinely slipped my mind. I had forgotten about him. Which says something.
