Probably on big money compared to our budget Shania. And given the 3 clubs that are in for him have deep pockets, we'd probably have little chance of landing him unfortunately. I was hoping something could be done given the links at Boardroom level between us and Newcastle. Doubt we've even had a look at him given the competition for his signature. I see a few Championship sides are pursuing Jack Rudoni from Wimbledon. Pretty sure we were linked with him last season. I wonder if he's still on our radar.

I wonder if he's still on our radar. i don't know much about him but 12 goals from midfield at a relegated team is very good. you'd hope we'd be in for him and those numbers suggest he could probably play further up the pitch and compete with chair and willock in the number 10 role |

Whilst I'm sure we are operating on a tight budget, I don't believe for a second that our transfer budget is that low that a 1 million quid player is beyond us. But if you do, why are you complaining about the lack of inbound players? How do you suggest we act aggressively and quickly in the transfer market with close to no funds? |

I'd imagine our budget is similar to last year Bill. We've moved on a couple of high earners, alright 2 (probable) high earners have also come in. But I'd imagine a couple of 1-2m quid signings will be viable. Failing that, budget to bring in a couple of high earners on loan or free transfer.
Nothing to panic about at all in my opinion.

our team is pretty much the same as it was last season. we've only lost squad players in wallace, moses and ball whilst also strongly upgrading by hendrick's loan ending. the only real loss is barbet but JCS is pretty much a like for like replacement.
we need a few players for sure but its hardly like we're scrambling for players. the spine of the team is still here and likely will be judging by recent comments to the press and even if we do lose one of our best players it'll be on our terms thus freeing up more money for transfers.
we ideally only need a new RB, backup LB, AM and striker. if shodipo stays fit then we won't even need a new AM anyway as i reckon he can do the backup job there plus he's pacey. all the other roles could easily be plugged with loans.
i really don't understand the doom and gloom. we still have a very strong squad aside from one or two areas. even if we didn't sign anyone i'd still be confident of us having a decent season were we're looking up the table rather than down.
plus there's unknown quantities too, sinclair armstrong for example might be ready for the first team for all we know. beale has a track record with youth and may see a hidden gem now that they're all playing at the same training ground. ryan manning and even ilias chair both came into the side in recent years despite having been in our youth sides for a considerable time and not ripping up any trees there.
