For starters, the window only technically opened today. Secondly, you've gotta look at what everyone else is doing. Teams are only just announcing who aren't being renewed (we were incidentally one of the first in the Championship to announce those). Teams will all be taking a look at who they can approach on free transfers. Once that all starts to move teams will probably then look at who they can afford that is under contract for the positions they need to fill. What is it you want us to do get ahead of the game on this? Players on a free are gonna want to take their time to ensure they've given all suitors time to make their best offers. Unless you are suggesting we throw money at this to get ahead of the game, I don't really see what you expect. Add this to the very long list of things fans like to whinge about without stopping to think about the hurdles the club have to contend with. Nonsense Tarbs last para is that not Ferdinands job |

I would imagine Michael Beale has a very good idea of who he wants to bring in. I’m also fairly confident that they will be mainly young players he knows, who will be very happy to learn and progress under a new breed of manager.
Only one position on the pitch where I would choose reputation and experience over youth with potential, assuming they still have a few years left. And it’s the one where the player is supposed to be converting a far higher ratio of the numerous chances we are going to create.

Probably on big money compared to our budget Shania. And given the 3 clubs that are in for him have deep pockets, we'd probably have little chance of landing him unfortunately.
I was hoping something could be done given the links at Boardroom level between us and Newcastle. Doubt we've even had a look at him given the competition for his signature.
