Ben woodburn free now too. Hearts, where he's been on loan the last year don't fancy him on a free. Probably speaks volumes. You are probably right but what's to say that they haven't already had a conversation and he wants to play in England? or they know they can't afford him? He could well be shit but it's not a given. |

Used mainly as a sub last season by Hearts mate. Alright, used as a very regular sub, but a central midfielder good enough for a side with ambitions in the Championship should be walking into the first 11 at a club like Hearts.
I know this isn't an exact science. I personally think Dom Ball had a reasonable QPR career, and he didn't do much North of the border. But I'd certainly say it's a fair assumption that Woodburn has not grown into the player that his early potential suggested he might have done.

Teams are only just announcing who aren't being renewed (we were incidentally one of the first in the Championship to announce those). Teams will all be taking a look at who they can approach on free transfers. Once that all starts to move teams will probably then look at who they can afford that is under contract for the positions they need to fill. What is it you want us to do get ahead of the game on this? Players on a free are gonna want to take their time to ensure they've given all suitors time to make their best offers. Unless you are suggesting we throw money at this to get ahead of the game, I don't really see what you expect. Add this to the very long list of things fans like to whinge about without stopping to think about the hurdles the club have to contend with. |
