We need younger players who want to advance in their career. Not as their last paycheck club. A mix would work though Timmy. It’s about motivation not just the paycheck. If they still want to perform and do themselves justice age isn’t a problem. |

Wells on a cheap. Why not? He is a player who I would think keeps himself fit and likes to be involved. He isn't good enough anymore. He didn't play at Bristol City and isn't getting any younger so I don't see why we should take another striker just because they were good once upon a time. That was pretty much our tactic when we went up as well, buying loads of players who were good 5 years ago but have a name. Gray is quicker and can hold the ball up better than Wells, plus scores more goals. |

Have we learned nothing from the Charlie Austin signing? We should let old washed up players on big contracts remain someone else's problem. 27 grand should really be paying the weekly salary of 2 or 3 players at Championship level. If we are gonna break the bank for someone, better to do it for someone with their best years ahead of them, not behind them. |
