If he does go it’s a shame Rob Edwards is now taken.

I said to alanwycombe after listening his first few interviews that he was a bullshitter and game player and that’s possibly why I’ve found it hard to go all in on him like some posters. I still hope I’m wrong in my first impressions but fear I’m not. I was amazed how taken some fans have been by interviews he’s done as there is massive amounts of cheese about them, basically says what people want to hear. Still hope he stays but won’t be massively bothered if he left.

Doesn’t sound like Mick Beale going by the needs of Glasgow Rangers 😂

Another conspiracy to add to the mix. Stewart Robertson the MD of Glasgow Rangers has just boarded a flight to London from Glasgow airport. 👀👀

To be honest, if he's gonna go, now ain't a bad time. We are on a rotten run of form, there is a month break for the new Manager to be selected and get a few weeks with the players and there is a transfer window straight after that. The compensation for Beale will also just about cover the cost of a striker with a bit of luck.

Can't see it happening myself after his post-Wolves statement, but nothing's ever certain in this game.

Can't see it happening myself after his post-Wolves statement, but you never know. I get why you'd say that, but I also believe what I've heard about a last minute change of heart on leaving us for Wolves. That remains unexplained. The cynic in me wonders if he preferred the Rangers job and was given some assurances he was in line for that whenever they pulled the plug on Van Bronkhorst.

I said before he turned down the Wolves job how can you criticise him for wanting to hear and consider all offers he may get from any suitors if he has ambitions?

Because he’s signed a contract to do a job for us. If his intention is to explore every opportunity that’s comes up then probably best he waits for the perfect job or he tells club he only wants short term deal so he can leave at short notice. He alleges things were not as sold to him well I’m sure owners never expected him to flash his Fanny to any suitor showing interest so works both ways.
All paper talk so in Fairness he deserves benefit of doubt but very very easy for him to put a lid on it and make it go away if he so chose too.

I'll add that he made a serious error of judgement going up to Rangers for a game the other week. He'd just been involved in a load of speculation about his future over the Wolves approach, our form was on the turn and Rangers were very clearly close to making a managerial change themselves. Regardless of his relationship with Rangers, in what world is it appropriate for him to be a guest at that game?

After his recent visit up there what would be needed to discuss? They just need to pay the compensation fee. 😂 You think that’s how easy it is? He was up there to watch the game not discuss a deal without his agent. He was up there Rab because they wanted to sound Him out to if he would want the managers job They knew at that time they were sacking their manager Its farking stinks mate lets not be naive about it No way he would go there not to discuss business

We all know that contracts mean very little morally in football though?
Why is he any different to a player playing well at the club and selling them?
MB rep was very high before he joined and difficult to prove that it’s warranted but probably with hindsight the club should have had the foresight to put a significant release clause in and certainly not the paltry £1.5m that’s been banded about.

His, his agents, a contact or a friend. Very easy. Whispers are he’s told them if they come in for him officially he’ll go.

Massive gamble for GR though isn't it?? Totally unproven rookie coach who has won nothing in his short career, At least get QPR promoted first I'd have thought, Shirley?! That's why I'd be well surprised if it actually materialises.

Hes not actually achevied anything yet as a manager

Rangers has a strange allure for many in the game though. Particularly those that have been up there. Gazza and Gattuso are great examples. They both speak extremely highly of their time there. I suppose you get to play in front of a huge crowd every home game, get guaranteed European football every year, get to be the talk of the city and all over the back pages every week. As much as the league they play in is pony, they are a monster of a football team with a bigger fanbase than every club outside of Europe's absolute elite. I just see it as risky. Little kudos if it goes well. Career killer if it doesn't.

Tarbs agree, but i mean massive gamble for GR to take (for reasons given), not for Beale.
Gens, what should I do? Sorry, didn't quite get your post mate.
