still has 2 years on his deal so would be worth a fair chunk. yep if you want sell at premium price it’s probably got be this summer as then we’re into Willock or BOS situation unless can extend him. Would be gutted to see him go but if the price is right!!!!! But what is the price ??

If we are serious about our model and are confident in our recruitment ala Brentford these are the tough sacrifices you need to make. Given his upturn is quite recent we probably aren't going to get the kind of megabucks we would like.

A player is only worth what someone is willing to pay.... £8M ? I remember some fans convinced Smithies was worth that due to some keeper going for a ridiculous price 6/7 years ago.... He went to Cardiff for £2 or 3M.... This isn't fantasy football or FIFA Manager 2025

He went to Cardiff for £2 or 3M.... This isn't fantasy football or FIFA Manager 2025 £8m is a high figure but "english tax" is applied and everyone seems to go for big bucks anyway such is football specific inflation. JCS has always been a quality defender who could probably step up to the prem especially if his injuries are behind him. other defenders in this league have gone for far more, konza, mepham and webster spring to mind as going for big fees. if we sell anyone it has to be on our terms and for good fees. no point selling JCS for £5m as that gets us no where, a capable replacement would cost us around £3-4m and it's no guarantee that they'd fill JCS' boots plus it gives us no money to bring in anyone else or help balance the books. next season could genuinely be one to remember with marti at the helm. i highly doubt we'll be aiming for a midtable finish under him and neither will he. so any sale has to take that ambition into account while also being a responsible one for our club imo.

With 5 or 6 clubs showing interest in him, we have to look to start an auction.
Anything above 8mil will be a good price.
Just hope we have some good scouting network in place to identify a replacement.

I think £5M for him after his "injury record" is a gimme....
Even a couple of million for a free transfer is good business
He only joined us because of that silver tougued bar tender Beale and has just really picked up when Marti took over...
If Marti isn't poached and is manager in August (tbh he seems a different kettle of fish to the eel).
I would suspect he has a few more Andersen and Frey's lined up if the nesscesary conkers become available
My opinion for what it's worth ( 2 pennies 😉 )

If he's sold any money has to be ring fenced for a quality striker...

Am not saying this about JSC as we don't know anything specific about injuries but, fitness guy aside, it does seem a little coincidental: we went from five or six players being out every week to winning each week, competition for places and a brilliant manager (plus some players thinking about their futures) and suddenly hardly anyone is out, ever...

I think he probably starts the season with us but we got be looking extend his contract or cash in while his stock is high. All depends on the quality we replace him for, otherwise we're just treading water and not progressing. As usual, all roads lead back to quality of recruitment, which has been our perennial downfall ever since the Warnock era. Lets hope for a better era under Marti and Nourry

All depends on the quality we replace him for, otherwise we're just treading water and not progressing. that's the key part of any JCS sale. no point cashing in on him for 5 or 6 million if we can't get an adequate replacement in. he's been brilliant so any sale of him needs to be a big fee.

Absolutely immense. Massive game and he stood up above everyone. I say again, those that questioned his personality when he was just injured should hang their heads in shame.

Only good thing the mole ever done for QPR Wasn’t he supposed to be one of the players that downed tools when Beale left?
