Wont be here much longer So be careful what you wish for I would be willing to sell him and re-invest in a decent striker And Marti can hopefully get Willock firing more consistently because he is the club's best player, when on form, not Chair.

Yes he's greedy, yes he's frustrating but, most things go through him or Willock and the argument I've used before and stand by is, if I was a QPR midfielder who knows 9 out of my 10 balls / passes into the box are gonna be absolutely wasted I'd also want to shoot myself most of the time. Dykes and muscles are just not cutting the mustard up front.

Agree Jimmy for as frustrating as he is in his absence there is no one else chapping at the bit to step in.
Sparks for seasons going forwards anyone in the youth who might be showing they could be an answer down the road?

However, we need to improve the forward line as neither Dykes or Armstrong are good enough keep us up. Being our most high value player makes Chair a luxury if only for the failures of the 2 men ahead of him. Talk of £15-20m is ridiculous but if we could land £8-10m we can buy a couple of £3m strikers and a £3m man to replace him. I don't think many have truly grapsed how significant relegation will be for QPR this season. Its possibly the closest we have got to seeing the club sink and that's why Chair is a luxury we can't afford.

Blame the club, owners & former DoF who've gone into this season so embarrassingly underprepared with regards to our forward options. My point still stands. He HAS to shoot more in the hope of a goal, deflection (as proved on Saturday) as the other 2 up front are shite & rarely get on the end of anything.

Jimmy, I agree. But if we're offered £8-10m for him in January I would still take it and re-invest that into a better striker (or two) and/or an upgrade on Field/Dozzell/Colback. The reason being is that would be a net improvement to the squad. And as said, Marti can also hopefully get Willock firing more consistently because he is the club's best player when on form, not Chair (and he could hopefully persuade Willock to extend his contract with any luck. I know others disagree, but I would still not rule that out at this stage).

You ignored the key part of my post about what relegation will cost us. Do you think Chair keeps us up alone without investment in this team? If no he has to go and it's as simple as that.

Can we actually improve squad as required with 8mil. What we need may two or three players?
Decent player probably £4/5mil anything less then that and you're possibly taking a punt like we did on Dykes hoping they come good.

I don't know is the honest answer but I do know we'd have a better chance than we have now.

I wouldn’t want any kids from our U21s or loans being in our first team right now,Armstrong looks a shadow of the player that made his debut, his confidence looks shot and importantly his exuberance to put himself about has been knocked out of him.
To me it shows why it’s probably best to go out on loan to a team and group of fans that is not going to rip them to shreds for not being outstanding every min of every game right now.
If I were Chair I would be off like a shot if I could in Jan window.

I certainly grasp what relegation would do to this club. Focus should be on staying up and not get involved in transfers of any of our players until the summer - not January when Marti will have just settled things down. All they should be doing in Jan is find us some goals. Kids, non-league, there must be something we can do. Vardy and Wrighty came from non-league so I bet they’re still out there somewhere.

As for putting himself about decent pro defenders know all about it. He roasted Wednesday defence twice. Third time they wacked him and he got subbed at half time. I really wanted this guy to tear it up but it’s not going to happen.

I didn't ignore it. It wasn't relevant to my original point of here & now being a luxury player when he's most certainly not and talk of potential £8m fees is all fantasy as it stands. No one came in for him previously and if they did it's a different debate.

Tbf the transfer market (fee wise) has fallen out of the Champ since Covid, as much as I do like Chair & think he would be class in a better side, not sure many would be stumping up £8m for him.

€8m = £6.9m Someone is only worth what someone is willing to pay for them of course, but that shows how his reputation has taken a bit of a hit by staying with us.

love the massive contradiction - “chair is shit - sell - can we get 6 or 8 mıll?”
Dozzell - value?
Field - value?
Smyth - value
even Wllock - value?
