That's what I've been thinking. But he doesn't deny he's talking to them, just that he has to make a decision. Which may not be done yet. But probably is. If I were a neutral, I'd think him mad to go. I agree mate. It’s a case of what if we hit a blip, slip down the league and I’m no longer the golden goose or fuck it I back myself to succeed in the PL. I think he’s the type of man to definitely back himself. Think you're right. My piss has been boiling/ I've been throwing tantrums (choose one...) all day. He's the best manager we've had since Neil. Harry's promotion bring a welcome fluke. I think it disastrous that he goes. Back to the drawing board. With player morale rock bottom. And you can't leave a club, top of the leagues, four months into a three year contract. You'd have to be a complete cunt to do that. And for fucking Wolves? ?

This group of players will keep him nearer the top of the table so any blip will be very short. Crazy to go to Wolves as other PL jobs will come up this season.

It’s huge being top but what’s really doing my nut in is it’s clear how class the fella is.
Balogun Tim Roberts Laird Paal Richards
Every one of them have been quality! Not a single dudd. He changes games with his knowledge and subs and looks to have galvanised a young side into a tough & tenacious side.
Fucking criminal if he walks out on us!!
Wolves are wank!!

Let's not let the Wolves cunts off the hook here, thinking they can just swank over and poach our manager the fucking arseholes. Fuck off back to the West fucking midlands you fucking dirty surrender monkeys.

I think he will stay but if he reads this thread I would go. If he can't take a bit of banter, Chubby Checkers might as well twist right off now, warts and all, and don't leave the fat boys behind.

Clearly agonised. If he's definitively going, he can't be that duplicitous, can he? Surely Rangers will make some kind of counteroffer/ promise? Les probably being too busy being Les, however.
It's like a beautiful girl taking her clothes off in front of you one last time before she leaves...... Man/ his, should you swing that way.

I think there may be a little more experience of how loyal anyone in football is to anything Bill. Players no longer travel to football on the bus with their boots around their neck and fans now sack managers after two defeats on the bounce. Money is the god of all things. He'd even coach Qatar if the offer came through.

OK, I read this afternoon’s reports as being a virtual done deal.
BUT…. MB says his family is happy and settled, he seems to love the club, his squad and he’s loved by the fans.
Going to Wolves would piss off Villa fans big time - possibly an issue for him.
Suggestions of interference behind the scenes at Wolves.
Potential for relegation in his first Prem job, or potential for promotion into the Prem inhis very first managerial role.
He’s a bright man.
My gut feel is that he’ll stay.

If I were a neutral, I'd think him mad to go. My exact thoughts too. Might be wrong of course but I maintain that just really can't see him leaving, weighing it all up. Based on pure gut instinct and being totally dispassionate about it.

Happy with how he fielded these questions. His responses seemed fair. People saying it’s a foregone conclusion, but sounds far from that to me:

I might have to eat my words but It seems a load of media hype.
Reports say Wolves have spoken to a number of managers who looked to have turned them down. And that they are expected to make an approach to Beale. But that they may also leave things as the are and start looking again after the World Cup. He’s said himself he hasn’t heard anything.
All of the above doesn’t indicate it’s a done deal, far from it.

I can. Honestly felt like a betrayal to me that Beale was even thinking about leaving so soon.
I'm a little less annoyed and a bit more philosophical about things this morning. Mate of mine put it into perspective when he said it's probably a move from 8k a week to 60k a week. I guess we have to expect he'll want to think about it.

Pal tells me he's probably, at best, earning £400K pa here and Wolves would offer him something like £1.5K pa at least. Who amongst us wouldn't want three times our salary? And more attention.....? Or be prepared to at least think about it? £4.5m for three years. Even if sacked. The problem isn't his ambition. It's, as always, the rottenness of the game and the utter cancer that is the shitty, vile and hateful Premier League. Even a shit club like Wolves is empowered by it.

Why don’t club say to him, you’re exceeding expectations, so we looking to give u a new much improved contract. If it costs us a mill in wages and we go up it’s peanuts.

The shitty Guardian has sixteen stories on the Premier League before it reports, in a paragraph, that we've gone top of the Championship.

Yesterday I was thinking he had every right to go if he wanted to. Ambition, money etc. But this morning I don’t feel like that at all. The money and ambition will come, assuming he doesn’t turn out to be a busted flush as a manager, which is unlikely. Plus his young family are just settling in down here. He’s also brought players here who have also had to relocate off the back of telling them of his vision and ideas for them and the club. If he goes now he’s almost giving the finger to those same players. To me, if he puts all that to one side because he can’t wait a year or two to earn mega bucks at a premier league club then he’s a lesser man than he likes people to think he is. That’s why I’m clinging on to the hope that he isn’t that lesser man.

Happy with how he fielded these questions. His responses seemed fair. People saying it’s a foregone conclusion, but sounds far from that to me: for as much as I like the club interview not as keen on this one. Starts by kind of saying in around about way unless club or Les approach him then he stays, that’s my take so on that basis unless club want compensation they tell wolves fuck off he he cracks on with job, that was my take, do others hear same as me? But then he goes into to setting out, I’m assuming for wolves benefit, what he would expect from a new club when they approach him and that he would then weigh it up which is kind of contradiction. Defo bit of a game player in him which I’m not criticising as it’s in all of us he’s just playing the game in open sight of everyone. Feels bit like he’s saying tell me what you’ve got but I’m pretty content here so it’s got blow me away.
