It's an odd one. I actually prefer his personality to Warburton's. I got bored by Warburton about 6-7 interviews in when he started to just repeat himself and using clichés. That's not happened for me yet with Critchley. He's far from charismatic but I don't mind that as find what he actually has to say interesting. My only concern are over his motivational skills. If he succeeds there then he could turn out to be a good manager for us. It's interesting that he began poorly at Blackpool too but ended up being successful there once he'd had time to get his methods across to his players.

I always found Warbs quite articulate - you don’t hold down a job in the City being a fool - albeit he had his cliches, whereas Critchley can hardly string a sentence together and just mumbles in agreement with the interviewers inept questions. Not sure that would inspire me to head over the trenches and face a Russian tank but maybe he has hidden qualities

Hardly surprising with only 5 players at most giving their all.

Got to say he’s got absolutely nothing out of them since he came in. Nothing.

Most spineless group of players in my 45 years watching us. Does anyone care or have any standards at that football club

Critchley today signed a 4 year contract with Blackpool, does that mean a less expensive pay off due from us now?

Hopefully.
Good luck to him, felt for him with us a but, weirdly. Seems a genuine bloke, hope he does well there (again).

Really liked him and was shocked to watch how badly that squad let him down. Wish the bloke the best of luck for the season ahead.

Another classic case of club treating the symptom and not the cause.

You could see glimmers of progress. I think that extra time equaliser by Sheff Utd undone him. Had we held on Think we might have pushed on a bit.

He should not survive if another drubbing is handed out to us at the weekend. Our football club is rotten from top to bottom and until we are rid of this group of players there will be no change. Critchley won 2 on the spin since going back to Blackpool the very same bloke that these shithouses downed tools on. Treated terribly at QPR but will put my hands up and say I didn't think he was the right man for the job at the time. Came across to meek and soft for me from what I saw on the outside and I didn't think these players needed mollycoddling, they needed a rocket up their arse and a dose of reality. In hindsight who knows what could have been but I don't think I'd change my opinion tbh.

I actually wanted Critchley before we took Mick or now as he is known Michael Beale and when you look at his time with us he was unlucky in a couple of games and also injuries. Tactically better than our current manager but both have the misfortune of trying to coach these frauds and also trying to get that sicknote Clarke Salter on the pitch. If Ainsworth does go who the hell comes in next? Our board are clueless as are our recruitment team.
