100% agree. What makes it worse is I can’t imagine that they didn’t know it was all agreed and that the new manager was likely to be watching. What a way to endear yourselves. Anyway yesterday is done, I actually think critch and his team are going to be a really good fit for us. Clean slate but but players like Thomas, niko and shodipo have to be moved on to free up some wages for players who will actually have ab impact. Players in? There 3 wages might cover one decent addition, might! I’d take 1 player who can add some value over 3/4 wastes of a shirt

From what I`ve heard Andrew Musgrave will be his first signing. Who on earth is Andrew Musgrave?

If he was on board before the game yesterday he should have been in the dug out whoever we were up against. You don’t hide someone away because it might be a tough game - so we’d have let him take charge against Huddersfield as they weren’t supposed to be difficult? If he’d been there we might have seen a better showing. Like Westy says, couldn’t really be arsed because no one was in charge. Might have got the crowd up for it too.

Agree,if he is looking forward to the job so much and feels it an honour why not in charge yesterday. Another load of bullshit.

Why don`t we, myself included, change our mindset now that we have a new coach in charge?

Maybe they didn’t want to start half assed and needed to bring in his staff (one was already employed) before they could coach effectively. I really don’t see an issue if he arrived after a tough home fixture, as long as we are more sorted for away to Bolton.

You don’t need to have had a coaching session to give instructions from the touch line and be a presence.

Absolute fiasco as per. They're incapable of getting anything right.

Blackpool forum not exactly complementary about him

first impressions I like. Could tell he was nervous doing the small talk but when he got into the football he was comfortable. Can sense bit of Warburton about him in how he answers questions. Warmed to him listening to that as he appears genuine, unlike Beale who I never really warmed to at all as the scent he gave off was it’s all about me. Hopefully we’re in safe hands and there are long calm waters ahead!

The anti Beale. Far less of a talker. Not as silky, smooth or self satisfied than that fat fuck. Not selling sand to Arabs. Here's hoping.

Pool fans said his football was a bit meh, he jumped for more money, will jump when stevie g gets new gig, surprised we went for him as he did a job like Beale did on us

Don't get the negative comments. Comes across well I think, personable and focused. And no mole or pot belly. Looking forward to see what he can do with our squad.

Looking forward to see what he can do with our squad. he does have a bald spot on the back of his head though. at least we have something to pick on in the event he starts being shit. tbh overall i'm happy with the appointment. he doesn't seem as outgoing and confident as the eel was but the eel had probably just eaten a crab before every interview with us so was understandably happy and eager. plus we don't know what critchley will be like away from the cameras. he had blackpool playing some good stuff plus they played out of their socks too. we have a much better squad than blackpool and they all seem to be the right sort. if neil can get them happy and receptive to his ideas then it should be good.

First 2 games are tough and i'd expect nothing from them if we are anything like we were on Sunday.
If he can get us a win against Luton he'll be an instant hero in my book as we are shocking at the mo.

Critchley lowdown
Plays 433 and 442 dependant of the opposition Never really plays the same team twice Will adjust the team to suit opposition Will use whole squad Bit if a Tinker Quiet and reserved not a shouter Clean sheets way forward Teams very hard to breakdown Slow starter in new job usually Hard working teams when dont have the ball Knows many young promising players
