fair enough. i went on hammarby's forum to see what their fans are saying, first off i always laugh at the automatic translations to english. but it seems most of them assume MC is coming to us. worryingly though none of them seem fussed by it! He applied for the Hearts job in June, so maybe they knew he was not that interested in staying on any longer.

Hearts were apparently warned off approaching Cifuentes by Hammarby after a rumoured interview took place, perhaps that could be why their fans are fed up with him.

Cifuentes is reportied to come to London to finalise a deal tomorrow. They have a home match tonight and the season wraps up on 12th November.... Would mean a caretaker in charge for Rotherham and Bristol City but the dates work with the next International break...

In charge of his last match tonight apparently..

I’m more excited by Cifuentes than Warnock, it’s a tough ask to survive this season regardless who comes in.
Thanks for your updates Shania.

It would be logical for all the candidates to be interviewed, hence all the speculation over multiple names, Captain.

Cifuentes with Warnock to ease him in would be the ideal solution perhaps.

I don’t have a view on how good a manager he is, don’t really know anything about him, but like Sparks, more excited at Cufientes coming in - I prefer the idea of a longer term appointment, someone the players will hopefully get on board with, rather than worry who the fuck they’ll have to deal with in the summer.

It is exciting to be linked with him and I think we'd see some good football played BUT....
He, like Beale, would see this as a stepping stone and would be off within 18 months if successful...
Not, of course, a reason not to employ him but something we need to be prepared for.

Jimmy you're our no. 1 ITK - what's the news??? The clock is ticking and we've got an absolute 6 pointer on Saturday. Sorry mate just seen this. Hadn’t heard a thing tbh but yea looking like it’s gonna be Marti Cifuentes. Dunno what to think really as I don’t know anything about him. Is he the man to be taking us over while we’re in such a state?

This is a massive risk and one this board have to get it right. If this guy bombs we fall away to oblivion. Personally not for me for the here and now. Also begs the question why are we doing it now after 9 months of the crap we just witnessed

Initial thoughts: an upgrade on Gareth sartorially. Football wise, could be absolutely brilliant or a complete fucking disaster. Certainly not the "lazy" appointment some complained Warnock would be. But very high risk given where we are. Shit or bust basically.

Also begs the question why are we doing it now after 9 months of the crap we just witnessed It's putting us back on the path tred by Warburton, Critchley and Beale which is the right one for this club. However, it's a huge gamble because we haven't got the squad those had and unless we're backing him in January it could seriously backfire.

Seventh in a shitty Swedish league?
Doesn’t fill me with the maximum amount of confidence I’ll be honest.

Massive cajonnes the board are showing here - when they have the slam dunk appointment for Championship survival waiting by his telephone. If it weren't THIS board I'd be quite admiring and even optimistic, but am really struggling to think of a single thing they've ever got right....

Agree with this except the being backed in Jan line - he can't be backed as they can't spend.

Shows this board really are oblivious to how serious a danger we are in this year.
