(Also, they've now put Paul Hall in temporary charge as 1st team coach.) The keeps uppie king. The fella in charge of the bibs and cones is in charge of the first team…… Fuck off. Get him gone ffs

Last time we hired a completely unknown manager it was Luigi Di Canio. We were in a fair bit of trouble on the pitch then too, worked out pretty well for us. I've got everything crossed that it turns out like that with this Cifuentes bloke. Di Canio was given 12 new signings including Buszaky which helped Di Canio. This guy will have to turned proper shit into bronze as no way can they turn Kakay, Dykes to name two into gold.

Sorry to spoil the party but I’m completly unconvinced by this appointment Like I was about Ainsworth that some were wanking over back then Huge risk at a metal time in our future With owners who know fuck all about About football and football appointments Hope I’m wrong really do but was correct on Gareth might I just say, Again will judge on next 5 games as will the crowd in Loftus Road, Here hoping he’s great No manager is guaranteed to be a success and this one may not work out but the difference is that we all knew Ainsworth would fail.

Going by all the press reports it looks like the club interviewed Warnock and perhaps they couldn't reach agreement. Assume he'd have been 1st choice and this guy on the shortlist. They'd have been interviewing people over the last couple of days or even prior to Saturday. Obvs speculation but maybe he wanted a two year contract or asked for crazy money knowing we were desperate.

Watched a bit of the first half. He seems to like his team to have plenty of the ball. Fullbacks seem to be pushed high up too. Seems to be playing with 1 defensive midfielder. They look quite positive.

Not saying he will be a success, but Cifuntes will want to bolster the squad at the very first opportunity. He is not a yes man.

I reckon Shania must have emailed the club and tipped them off about this guy. Or they monitor this site.

Are we really in a position to take such a risk? Why not get Cifuentes in next summer, let him bring in a couple and start his tenure then?

Quite intrigued by this one as never heard of the fella to have an opinion on if it’s good appointment or not.
Could be a master stroke by club or another disaster.
There record for bringing people in is not great but surely with the numbers they appoint they are due to get one right sooner or later.

This lot would turn a lump of gold into a pile of shit so to be honest I have no faith in anything they do. But let’s see eh.

They fucked up big time with Ainsworth; but the Warburton, Critchley and Beale appointments were all reasonable ones that made sense. With Beale they just didn't do their homework on his character; and Critchley might have worked out if they'd been more patient as he's proven to be a decent coach at this level, but perhaps the problem there was more the timing of his appointment.
