Got to be honest buy Gareth is converting me into a believer.
The last two matches against two decent champ teams we should of arguably won or certainly drawn.
He is right that some of the players we got we’ve had to wait to get match fit and I think he’s adapted out team correctly to meet their strengths.
If we can back him with 2/3 more players, rb, cb and striker we’d be laughing.
Imagine bringing Tim back in form Villa abs slotting him best to field and Colbeck.
Either way, I think after international break we will crack on and we will be absolutely fine this year. We are not one of the worst three teams in the league imo.

Starting to see the battling, competitive team he promised us. He got a great reception from the away end today so shows fans are fully behind him. Gutted though, we deserved something today.

Careful lads, Gaz is the devil and nothing he ever does or the team does is good in any way.

But the issue is our lack of depth and the feeling that Gaz might just be hamstrung in the finances department. Couple of injuries in key areas and it's not good.

We battling, but not getting any points Still early days and we’ve played a couple of the better teams but there’s no column on the league table for ‘positives’.

at the start of the season i said it'll either be a real good year or a real shit year with no middle ground.
tbh depending on what your definition of a good season is i now think we'll be around 15th or 16th. team is severely lacking in depth except for the CB and AM roles. first 11 looks somewhat good but then our squad players are guys who would struggle to be squad players in league 1.
some players have really bought into gaz' style, kakay looks like a genuine championship player this year in a back 3/CM/RB hybrid role (i'm sure football manager has a name for that role, maybe wide centerback lol).
i've always been a happy clapper and have backed gaz from the start but i was leaning towards gaz out after the watford game.
fact of the matter is gaz knows how to manage squads like ours. i don't get why people critisize him when he says he's happy with the squad, whats he supposed to say exactly? we couldn't even stump up 300k for forino and i imagine gaz has had many conversations with the board asking for finances.
weirdly enough though these are the kinds of times when gaz really shines. he's brought in some good players on a shoestring budget, players past their best yes but mentality monsters who'll drag the team through the season.

It’s not his fault all of it, board giving him less than nothing. But yes we competing better than thought and if he had 1-2 difference making player’s think it be a very different story. We need points, it’s that simple

What prevented us getting a draw yesterday remains fitness levels, not motivation levels.
Pattern beginning to emerge here.

Fitness has been an issue for a few seasons now. Developing proper athletes is a massive part of the modern game. Days are gone where you could be super fit OR really talented.

club has taken some steps to improve fitness though, we brought in that guy from wycombe and appointed a head of fitness or something

Also in our case look at the average age of our starting 11. It's pretty high when compared with average age of squad. These two factors IMO are still hampering us.

I still feel we are severely lacking in creative ability, Chair is only currently firing at less than 50% of his ability.
We missed out big time on not getting Moran on loan from Brighton who is a tricky winger/attacking MF player that joined Blackburn a few days ago.
I still feel we will bring in at least 2 loans but worry that Ainsworth lack of pull and waiting for last min bargains will mean we end up with journey men type loans.

Fitness has been an issue for a few seasons now. Developing proper athletes is a massive part of the modern game. Days are gone where you could be super fit OR really talented. maybe we need rethink the fitness argument perhaps we have it wrong. These players will be fit but perhaps that don’t mean they will ever be 100% athletes. Yes you can make someone fitter but unless it’s in your dna make up are you ever going to be a Declan Ricr box to box 90min player. Don’t matter how many shuttles you make chair or Willock do will they ever reach that level? Is that why some players cost more as your not just getting player with footballing ability but athleticism which matches it. Duke McKenna looks like he has an engine and could run all day. Not seeing any one else in the squad in that mould. Is there a difference between fitness and athleticism fitness?

Difference is between fitness and stamina. Top teams look like they’ll only use players with both. Rice is great example.

You may know it. It went well. Was busy. A qpr shirt was on raffle signed by team… think it went to a fan. Will post up again when another on… It’s up to Pauly Zarb who runs the events.

Video up of Gareth singing which appears to have got some fans bit overly excited because we lost 🙄 guys allowed to do what he wants in spare time. fans will moan about anything and everything. at the end of the day football is just a job, yes players and managers may absolutely love their job but its still a job. i think quickly getting over a defeat is just something that players and managers do as they get older. ben foster has said that he'd be in a dour mood for days after a loss but as he got older it didn't really bother him as strongly. he'd just put it behind him and move on to the next game.
