fair play to gaz. he's not perfect but he's getting a tune out of the players and they're buying into his ideas. he's cultivating an us and them mentality and is proving a lot of people wrong so far.

He will do for me if that’s what we are serving up. We’ve been decent since Watford. Some turnaround

That's an interesting stat, truly hope we're still ahead of his points total when we get to the date he left.

We all know Beale had a slow start so no great surprise there, if we're being honest about it?

Back on here after taking a break from the negativity.
Interesting stat, we are a point ahead of where we were at the same stage last season. Ainsworth is doing a good job. Ain't pretty, but he's got a bang average squad doing more than the sum of their parts.
I'll hold off on saying I told you so for a few months yet. 🤣

Got to be honest buy Gareth is converting me into a believer. The last two matches against two decent champ teams we should of arguably won or certainly drawn. He is right that some of the players we got we’ve had to wait to get match fit and I think he’s adapted out team correctly to meet their strengths. If we can back him with 2/3 more players, rb, cb and striker we’d be laughing. Imagine bringing Tim back in form Villa abs slotting him best to field and Colbeck. Either way, I think after international break we will crack on and we will be absolutely fine this year. We are not one of the worst three teams in the league imo. Agree. Starting to see the battling, competitive team he promised us. He got a great reception from the away end today so shows fans are fully behind him. Gutted though, we deserved something today. Ditto 😄

His problem is going to be scoring enough goals - and that’s not his fault to be fair.

Certainly think there are initial signs of him Improving players. Kakay and dozzell jump out and lesser so Armstrong (need see more progression in Him).
Does Dunne get straight back in ahead of Kakay? Does JCS remove fox as he looked superb when he replaced Cook who himself was a rock.

We'd have won or at least drawn had it not been for the sending off, as the game plan had been going perfectly up to that point.
But the concerning thing is when we do go down to 10 the complete exposing of his tactical naivety in how to deal with it. Better, more experienced managers would have handled the situation very differently. But from the moment the whistle blew in the 2nd half and we dropped 10 yards deeper it was just a matter of when, not if, they would score, and score again.
Shame, as the signs against Middlesbrough were so much more encouraging. He said he learnt from the Watford game, well he needs to learn from today too. And it seems the fans also have to accept we have a manager who is literally still learning on the job.

Bit optimistic thinking we would have won aside from the goal created nothing even with 11 on pitch.

Bit optimistic thinking we would have won aside from the goal created nothing even with 11 on pitch. I did say won or drawn. We were playing well and the momentum was in our favour. Goals AND sending offs change games though. But the main thrust of my post was aimed at the manager's weaknesses once again being exposed.

We have a weaker squad than most teams and much weaker from the sidelines which makes the task each week even harder.

Anyone who can't see that Ainsworth is here to sort out the CLUB first and foremost is an idiot.
We've been run by clowns and he knows the ins and outs of running a club ON A BUDGET
Give the fella the credit he deserves.
We've had absolute pricks running the club and the teams for years. This is going to take time and he needs support

We were dreadful and so was he. He is no help at all from the sidelines and I would change him now who for I don't know but more of last night and we will be in big trouble.

We were far from great last night clearly. But it’s only fair to factor in a lot of the players having to put a shift on on Saturday when we had 10 men for most of the match, around 85mins when you factor in added time. Clearly lots to improve on but that would have taken its toll on a fair few.

I no fan of noddy but I notice he doesn’t throw team under bus. He always bigs them up in some way even when they dog. So think he knows confidence is zero and instead of adding more to it he tries to boost them . Other managers do it differently. Which way is right or wrong don’t know.

Suppose it depends on the character of squad, some sides need a arm round shoulders others relate to a kick up the arse
