Basic assumptions on the players we’ve brought in regarding Begovic, Fox and Coldback plus making Dykes our highest earner suggest our salary bill could have increased from last season.
I won’t be surprised if Dykes is on £18k a week which was rumoured to be Johansen salary.
If ever a transfer window highlighted the need for an accomplished DOF it has to be this one.

I won’t be surprised if Dykes is on £18k a week which was rumoured to be Johansen salary. If ever a transfer window highlighted the need for an accomplished DOF it has to be this one. Saw a SkySports graphic a day or two ago on Twatter showing our wages are the 4th lowest in the Championship at a bit over £6m. Looking at other media organisations and newspaper predictions for the season (5 or more of them), they ALL have us going down with most of them having us or Plymouth rock bottom. I fully understand we are working under financial restraints but to see the club and squad in this state is far beyond what I ever imagined. It was very clear at the end of the season we had another summer of big changes but unfortunately we just seem to have stuck our head in the ground and the depth of the squad is frightening.
The people running the club need to take some serious accountability. Its scary to hear Gareth say we might only bring in one or two more players and if thats the case we will be in serious trouble.
Desperately need a new rb, cb, cm and striker as a minimum requirement. to have Kakay as first chouce rb and drew as his understudy is criminal, our cb options are deprived of quality, a cm of colbeck and field I think isn't to bad, but again no depth and up top where is the pace or any type of natural finisher in the whole club.
Can only hope that Gareth means two permanent and that by the end of the window, we have utilised the loan market as well. I can't believe the position the owners have put us in.

thats my main issue with some of our squad tbh. realistically we have 5 or 6 genuine first teamers while the rest are squad players at best.
i like kakay and as a squad player he's a very useful guy to have about. but as our starting RB? no way, he will be torn to shreds next year. i do think he should be moved further up the pitch though but even so he never should be more than a handy 25-30 appearences a season utility player

It’s gross incompetence to let Garath go into the season with that disgrace of a squad. It’s fucking ridiculous and the people at the top need to be held accountable. They are letting him and us down but they won’t be. We all know who pays for this and it won’t be the people responsible |

We are but Beale had Willock and Chair playing together creating all across the pitch. A decent manager could have us playing effectively again. The defence was organised better and we moved the ball around quickly. This squad is never going to be top six but it’s better than bottom three. |

Even with someone getting a tune out of Willock and Chair again, we are vulnerable as the depth of the squad is horrendous.
We need 4 x starters brought into the club immediately - rb, cb, cm and st yet Gareth constantly says 1 maybe 2 players coming.
If that’s the case and we continue with likes of Kakay, Dozzel and Donkey as main stays in the team, plus with our cb options we are in trouble.
I’m not sure if the team put out yesterday would finish much higher then mid table in the league below.
