That’s true but we’ve got to stabilise first. I agree with this but there is a big BUT. We were stable under Warburton I would add whilst he’s a rat we would have remained stable under Beale. We done the hard work getting stability four years back and have decided undo all that hard work. The appointment of Ainsworth undone all the previous work as nothing he brought aligns with what went before or what they had built towards. It’s like self harm what they have done. We stabilise then blow it up and then start again. It’s the qpr way.

As Tarbie said above, I would have thought at least half the division are struggling to get what they believe is the right mix.
Personally, I don’t have any worries at all, other than concerns about the wellbeing of much of our fanbase.
I think we have a manager who, as Westy pointed out in his excellent appraisal of the fans consultation meeting, absolutely loves Rangers, wants to be here, is desperate for us to succeed and will work his nuts off in an effort to achieve that aim.
He has had varying degree of success with a small team in a lower division. There is nothing at all to say that with better players, he won’t be able to shape them into a cohesive unit, but he has to be given a bit of time and patience. I find it quite insulting that so many are happy to be so dismissive, so quickly. Can’t think of any other manager of ours in recent times that were shown this much disrespect so early into their tenure.
When I think back to the way Redknapp was regarded, a man who had won next to sod all in 30 years of management, I am truly shocked. No real surprise that before bailing and taking us down, he couldn’t even manage an automatic promotion with the squad at his disposal.
Might be completely wrong and end up looking stupid, but I think that GA is far more savvy and better man manager than he is given credit for. The sort of bloke that will make players want to do well for him. Really hope he proves the doubters wrong.

Sitting close to the dugout at the Wimbledon game i can honestly say GA is as passionate about us as any manager I’ve seen since Holloway in his first stint. There’s some parallels between them both too. Both came into the club when it was on its arse, facing a major rejig of personnel and attitude with sweet FA to fund it. No doubt Gareth is in regular contact with Ollie for advice and why wouldn’t he be. Some fans ridicule Ollie but he has several promotions under his belt, with little or no money. It’s obvious this season is going to be a grind but getting the limited squad playing for each other might just keep us up. Give the bloke an effing chance.

I’m not the patient fan with any QPR managers I hated Jim Smith but some loved him.I respect your opinion Brighton and your well written post but he needs to show a huge improvement on the perhaps 13 games he had last season where the football was the worst I can ever remember.
I don’t share your faith in Ainsworth because I’ve seen nothing so far in pre season to suggest It’s going to be any different.
He described himself as a ‘builder so I need time’ but I can’t relate to that, every manager in the country knows they are just a few defeats away from the sack…it goes with the job.
If it don’t kill you it can only make you stronger is an old saying,
In my view he’s got 12 games to shape up or ship out and then he gets nigh on a 2 yr payout as a sweetener.

I wonder how much his appearance matters to the fans, because I've never seen so many disrespectful comments about a managers appearance before. And we only recently had a fat bloke with a mole on half his face ffs.

The worst football you can remember😂 Were you a fan when we were beat by Vauxhall Motors. Or shipped 4 goals against Chesterfield in league 1. Or salvaged a 2-2 draw against Rushden and Diamonds, ironically a game where GA scored two worldies. What about our halcyon days in the premier league, getting spanked 6-0 by Fulham where half our team couldn’t be arsed to chase after the ball. I think you might just be exaggerating a bit.

All those bar Fulham were under Hollowhead who Ainsworth is a clone of in football ethics. Huge difference getting sparked in the Prem to getting spanked 6-1 by relegated Blackpool team in the Champ. No Im not exaggerating..What have you seen in preseason that means this one is going to be any different😂

I might be wrong but I would guess Brighton didn’t make his post for the sole intention of getting likes from the already converted.
He probably made it to gauge why the vast majority of fans on every QPR forum think Ainsworth isn’t the right fit.

Which is the only point I’m trying to make. It sounds like we are in agreement though. Give it 12 games or so and see how we do. Although I would ask, who the fuck would want to come to us if GA is sacked.

With regard to a new manager I don’t know, how long is a piece of string..I’m sure money talks with most.

No dig aimed at you, but I for one am just eager to give him a fair chance which includes at least another window to bring in his and (partly) a new dof`s players.

You are obviously more patient than me, for me 12 games is a quarter of the season and a good opportunity of a fresh start with some of his own choice players. I could suffer relegation IF I can see any structure in his tactics other than hard work and sorry for being blunt hot air from him about doing his best. Anyone can say I’m doing my best and not being proficent enough to actually do the job properly.

I don't think so - so that`s a problematic part of my reasoning..

Thats why I can’t understand you wanting to give him the Jan window too, by then it’s likely bringing somebody else in around Feb/March gives them virtually no chance of turning things around.
