Kane not world class not even close according to transfermarkt he has played 427 games, scored 273 and assisted 63 for spurs. thats pretty world class to me and a better overall record than other world class strikers like drogba for example. i think people underrate him coz there's something about him that just doesn't seem right in footballing terms but stats don't lieIt's probably because he plays for Spurs...... |

Really Matty you making Lampard world class. I would say very good player but just short of the world class bracket. Interesting thread like threads like this on general football Without any shadow of a doubt mate. I know he's a Chelsea slag n all that, but he was Ballon d'Or runner up, scored thick end of 200 PL goals from midfield and won pretty much all there was to win at club level. Not many teams in the world (poss only Barca) he wouldn't have walked into in his pomp. |

Good thread would actually be how many English players have been genuinely world class as it’s a terms given out far too often. I would say Ashley Cole, Bobby Moore and Paul Scholes (Think that might cause debate) struggling after that. Rooney? Gerrard & Lampard both were 100%. Rooney def was - pre-hair transplant Rooney was an absolute monster. Lampard did nothing on the international stage. |

Stick him at any top club in the country, City, United, Arsenal or Liverpool, and he'd score even more for them than he does at Spurs imo. It's his loyalty to Spurs that's stopped him winning trophies, that and the fact that Levy priced him out of any move. |

He’s only still there as Levy is a cunt and priced him out a move. City (arguably best team in world) wanted and tried to get him. I know out and out strikers are a slightly outdated with modern football but you’d be hard pushed to find too many better strikers in the world than Kane. His all round game is incredible. |

Harry Kane is well overrated, saw a stat recently 90% of his goals for England were against proper low level opposition like San Marino etc. Frank Lampard world class? your having a laugh. lampard was a brilliant player, arguebly chelsea's greatest ever player in a side that dominated the mid 2000s. easily world class in my books. he could have gotten into any side in the world at his best. as for kane, he stupidly signed a 6 year contract at spurs a few years back. levy is notoriously difficult to negotiate with and simply wouldn't sell kane anyway as doing so would be a self destruct for spurs. he's a magnificent player who's scored 20+ every year for the past 9 seasons or something. imo he's better than other world class players like weah, drogba, eto'o, ibra, raul, van nistlerooy etc. in his generation i think only lewa could possibly rival him as the best out and out number 9 type. |
