Glen Hoddle was probably the player that could absolutely transform any team and club he played for IMO

For me Paul Gascoigne is the only definate world class English player , with Glenn Hoddle a probable .
Can`t agree at all with Lampard ,Sol Campbel !

Really Matty you making Lampard world class. I would say very good player but just short of the world class bracket. Interesting thread like threads like this on general football Always struggled to work Lampard out. Couldn’t pass a ball like Hoddle, couldn’t rough up a player like Ince, wasn’t box to box like Robson yet all but a handful of strikers would kill for his goal scoring record - the way he ghosted into the penalty area late to score was amazing. |

Not English but we having Ryan Giggs? Yep. I think it is hard to argue he isn't given the CV (isn't it 13 Premier Leagues & 2 Champs Leagues, plus all the other FA Cups etc)? He was an integral part to them too, not like a 3rd keeper sitting there collecting medals. |
