there is something about kolli I like. Think he’s better prospect then Armstrong Watching Kolli certainly has me on the edge of my seat, I keep expecting David Bellamy to climb out of his hair at any moment.

I think we might be being a tad harsh on Armstrong here. He seems to have come on quite a bit from last season. I don't see why he shouldn't continue to improve. I notice he doesn't give the ball away too often once he does get it. Clearly needs to work on shooting. Taht was a great chance last night and you have to at least force a save there.

If he made a hollow in his hair he could trap the ball there, run towards the goal and flick it in the net.

Well, I was actually thinking of calling it 'the bird's nest'. It would go down in football history: The controversial 'bird's nest' technique was first employed by QPR player Rayan Kolli in an away match versus Norwich City on Saturday the 25th of November, 2023. Kolli trapped a cross from Reggie Cannon in a hole which he had scooped inside his abundant hair. He then ran through the Norwich defence and flicked the goal past their keeper into the net. Unsure as to how to react to this unprecedented technique, the referee blew for a QPR goal. The Norwich players subsequently mobbed the referee and in the ensuing melee, five Norwich players and their manager were shown a red card. QPR went on to win the game 11-0.
At an extraordinary general meeting of the FA the following Monday, the technique was banned. However, it was subsequently employed by several other players around the world, until FIFA stepped in to ban it three months later.

Particularly in his home country of Algeria where it was practised many times and Kolli has since become somewhat of a national hero. Indeed the Algerian FA are challenging the decision in their high courts.

I'll reiterate what I said on the Jock thread. I'd play this kid over Dykes every day of the week and twice on Sunday's. Reason.. He will do something, fucking anything and no way in the world could he offer as little as the Jock. I'd bin the cunt in an instant if I was Marti.

Dykes would never make a run like that. Lacks the pace, vision and anticipation.

Refreshing to see players run in behind. Everyone want it to feet these days. So asy to play against but when they turn and run behind, that's when yo ucause problems.
Seems to have a fighting attitude as well, so wouldn't be getting bullied by anyone.
I she naturally a striker or a winger?

Like this fella.
Had we not screwed up our front line he would probably benefit from a season out on loan sticking ball in the net and getting the taste of being a goal scorer in his blood.
Imagine him and muscles out on loan in league one for a season bagging 15 goals and coming back in August with 30 goals between them ready to stake a claim for first team and compete.
Miss management of our youngsters is appalling as these are people’s careers we’re fucking up.

That said, we have nothing to lose till Jan. Marti will know now Dykes can't do it. Maybe he will give Kohli a chance. If he is out of his depth and we can get a striker on loan in Jan maybe he can go out then - sure there would be offers. Big imponderable is whether he can do that against defenders with twice the strength and experience.

Ainsworth took him from playing regularly for the U21’s and gave him very restricted first team mins, if anyone looks to have the raw ability to play as a false 9 it has to be him rather than the likes of Kellman and Smyth.

Dykes would never make a run like that. Lacks the pace, vision and anticipation. ie he isn't a footballer, which has been evident for a long long time Ainsworth took him from playing regularly for the U21’s and gave him very restricted first team mins, if anyone looks to have the raw ability to play as a false 9 it has to be him rather than the likes of Kellman and Smyth.yeah he could deffo fit into a three along side Ilias and Chrissy W. ideally you want them interchanging, especially with Chair you want him swapping sides regularly. Think Kellman has the movement and could fit into that three if required. Smyth though...... never been for me.

What on earth has become of this player?! ...another invisible man 👻
Looked promising in his few appearances. Did well on international duty too.
I mean it's not like we're not short of options up front! 😆
