Be very frustrating IF Kohli is running down his contract, and not much thanks for developing him. If he is then right the club takes a strong line. If he refuses a loan the club should respectfully highlight the career trajectory of Kakay. Although I think he is much more talented than Armstrong he hasn’t done enough yet to excite other clubs I would imagine. Is what it is mate. If Kolli doesn't see himself getting game time here, it's fair enough if he wants to run his deal down and find a club where he will play. We've obviously learned our lesson from dishing out long contracts. Bit of a balancing act between not getting stuck with players we can't shift and occasionally losing one on a free that we'd ideally rather keep. Unrealistic to expect it to work out with every player in my opinion.

The only reasons I can see for him to run down his contract (or appear that way) is to put pressure on for a better deal in a new contract extension - if the club are offering a new contract. I doubt Nourry will fall for that one. Or more likely he is accepting that he will not make it with us with our new signings above him in the pecking order, and will hope for a transfer/loan/release in January.
Could all be clickbait rubbish of course and doubt anything will come of it until January but upcoming team selection will be interesting to watch.

The fact some of the numpty contingent of our fanbase have been abusing Kolli and his family could also be a factor if he is genuinely looking for a way out mate.

Probably a moot point anyway. Can't really loan him anywhere viable until the window reopens in January. Isn't it still possible to send youth players to nonleague, eg. National league, outside the window? Not sure that would be of much use anyway, though.

Level won't be much better than our ressies though so as you alluded to, kinda pointless.

From WLS dated today:
The Spanish head coach also confirmed that 19-year-old Rayan Kolli’s continued absence from the squad stems from wanting to rest the forward following his recent experiences with the Algerian U20 squad. Cifuentes expects to have both Colback and Kolli available for selection ahead of Saturday’s 3pm meet with Millwall at Loftus Road.

Doesn’t exclude them from first team does it?

No, they often get selected in matchday squads, as does Morgan, also from dev squad.

Doesn’t exclude them from first team does it? yes can still play first team but would guess if your in the development team photo and not first team suggests to me you the last option for when we’re desperate. Don’t see Lloyd in dev photo Stan?

Don't see him either Westy, but he's listed in dev squad on the offish. Seems to be quite fluid movement between there and the 1st team. Take your point about the team photo though.

Kolli will be offski soon enough I think. I actually don't have any issues in him being binned to the ressies. If he doesn't want to sign a new deal, why should he be getting first team action ahead of someone like Lloyd who clearly loves playing for the club.
My only regret with Kolli is whether that abuse from some of the numpty's who follow our club is a factor. I think Kolli has a chance of making it at this level. Shame if he goes and does it somewhere else, particularly if the behaviour of a small element of our fanbase played a part in his exit.

Think they offered him about £800 a week and it caused a fallout. Allegedly.

Struggle to believe all that’s happened is some new players have come in, the club thinks he’s now so far down pecking order, he can’t even train with first team. Somethings happened behind the scenes.

It’s simple really.
We need absolutely everyone who is capable of doing something for the first team to be ready to go as of now.
We can’t afford to play hard to get with anyone on the books who can do a job with us. If that means compromising financially or in fact compromising in any way at all, that is what we have to do at this moment. It could well prove to be cheaper in the long term.

He can shoot. That alone is a reason to play him.

Can't help but think he has some bad advisors around him. And by 'bad' I mean being guided by the pound note at the detriment of his footballing development.

But there is the balance of blowing your chances before your career has even begun and ending up worse off & plying your trade non league rather than knuckling down on a slightly lesser wage for now & establishing a proper career.

Looks like with the first team he doesn’t need that strap for resistance training, his Barnet must slow him down
