Speaking of disasters... Chelsea v Spurs in Istanbul for the Euro Super Cup (or whatever it's called) anyone?

chelsea are 2-0 up now in the UEFA cup final. i want both teams to lose though but its hard to just pick one. i love it when chelsea get a dose of reality but i also find it hilarious when arsenal fans have a meltdown.
3-0 actually now lol

Not many of the players are from your Isles. It`s strange..

Old Green was knocking about them celebrating, Not sure if it was because they won or him actually putting a kit on and getting onto the pitch.

Lets be honest ,no one gives a shit about the Europa cup anymore ,Arsenal just wanted the Champions league place and Chelsea couldn`t care less whether they won it or not . ( and playing the match in Oonoswhereistan was just a joke , made the match even more of a farce )

Awful final in awful location with awful atmosphere
Me and Wycombe were debating Ozil last night. He has been shit but for me playing in a powderpuff side which has zero battling powers makes him look far worse then he is
I think Arsenal are done now for next five/six years as a top side, they have fallen so far beside the rest because they refuse to spend. Until they put hand in pocket there going be left further and further behind

As good for our game as it was being an all English final, it would have been a bigger draw had there been a foreign team in the final. The game would've had more of an edge imo.

The fact that final was shown on youtube rather than national telly says it all.

Can't put your arm out like that. Very naive from Sissoko and probably just nerves. Mane was smart.

Shit game of football. Early goal killed it as a spectacle.
Probably well on my own, but happy for Liverpool. Deserved a major trophy this season!

Lousy game. Liverpool deserved it. Good to see a contingent of England players experiencing real tournament pressure.

Cat and mouse, that's how I saw it. Liverpool were a whole level above Spurs, who looked like ghosts. It was like watching birds of prey versus pigeons, they just bided their time to pick Spurs off. TBH I always thought there was only one team in it, especially once that penalty went in (after 1 minute for fecks sake).. That took balls by Salah. And then Alisson's double save in the second half was brilliant, I thought. They did just enough, like a canny boxer near the end of a 15 round fight, they waited their time and then bang, Origi delivered the knockout blow... boom! About time the reds won that trophy again. Interesting to consider English teams have totally conquered Europe this year, since Brexit (should it ever happen, but it was meant to have happened already).

Awful game and gutted the tyre snatching victim mentality brigade won. Happy for Klopp though as he comes across as a top bloke. For me, the best team on the night didn’t win and both teams were far from at their best on the night.

Can't see how you thought Spuds were the best team Itso - Liverpool had them in their pocket the whole game. They allowed them time on the ball, but what did they actually produce? Nothing. Canny game management. Clearly the match was never going to live up to expectations after those incredible 2nd leg semi-finals, so it felt like an anticlimax to majority. But if you watched it without expectations, it had a subtle dimension like a chess match or a boxing match (as I said above). Also a modicum of charis helped....

Liverpool struggled to find any rhythm and at times couldn’t string two passes together. Time after time they conceded possession when a simple pass was there to be made. That to me is far from having the opposition in your pocket. This may sound bizarre but I think the first goal had an adverse affect on them psychologically. They didn’t seem to know whether to stick or twist and looked nervy. They took their chances though and Spurs didn’t.

Rubbish game. The pen was harsh and I think took the wind out of the game. Spurs had over 90 mins to get back in it but did nothing. Rose is a maniac and Kane shouldn't have been playing. I hate Liverpool and am indifferent to Spurs but would have preferred they won. CL sucks.
