Chelsea finished 4th in their league this season and haven’t won the Premiership in 4 years. How can they be the best team in Europe when they clearly aren’t even the best in England? Well, they were 4th best a year ago. But under Tuchel they are arguably the best in England now (having beaten Mac City three times). I feel dirty having said that.

Give it a while longer Corbs. Tuchel has pissed off the board everywhere he's been. I give it 12 months max before him and Abramovich are at each others throats.

Never won the league at Dortmund so not sure that is too accurate. He has done well and organised them by using his experience. He and Lampard had the same players but one was inexperienced and one was ready to win a major trophy

I think there's an argument that they're the best organised team in Europe. It's a league, but essentially it reverts to a home and away cup format when you get to the sharp end, and cup winners often don't win their respective leagues. One thing you can say though is that whoever wins it are normally pretty useful.

Always hated CFC goes with the territory but I respect them more than city. City can afford to run at a stupendous annual loss, and in the last 10 years have spent more than any club on the planet. By a huge margin. How can you have more respect for the club that started all the crazy spending? sorry can't multiquote on this browser. Anyway, to my way of thinking, the spending started in Europe long before Abramovic, arguably going back to the late 60s in Italy. Bosman and media rights excess changed everything. The question is, how do your remain a football club when you have become totally corporatised? I dont think Man City have retained their identity in the way that some of their competitors have, just a personal view.

sorry can't multiquote on this browser. hal9thou, highlight the text you want to quote, then click on the 'Quick Quote' pop-up box. Repeat that for the other quotes you want. They'll then all appear in the post message box for you to reply to. Has to be done in the board's Desktop mode though, it won't work on the mobile version.

Guardiola won the league at Bayern so not sure how that stat stands. No getting away from him being up there as one of the elite coaches in World football.

I`m watching Bodø Glimt against Celtic tonight. Worth a look for QPR supporters because Glimt and their coach Kjetil Knudsen are playing the way Warburton wants his team(s) to play. Bodø Glimt in the lead 1-0 atm. Joe Hart is busy tonight.

Proper smash & grab from Madrid last night cor. City absolutely battered them - albeit not worth anything if you don't score more goals than them!
Madrid defended incredibly well, but fuck me they offered so little it was shite to watch. I really dislike Real Madrid for some reason, although I did win a nice few quid as I had this feeling they were going to do City so had a decent flutter on them to progress before the game & topped up by backing them to win on pens in play.

I've been enjoying Villa this season. Not sure if that's allowed by the diktats of football or whatever, but anyway, I have. And they played a great two-leg quarter final with Lille, concluding last night in plenty of drama in the shoot out. Boy, I wish we had a keeper like Emi Martinez!
