Couldn’t find a previous thread just about him so please move if you want. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67099065it was nothing to do with the colour of his skin that made the fan base hate him, it was the fact he was shit at his job.

He's talking absolute bollocks and we all know it.
The respect I had for this man was dwindling but now it is completely gone.
A chancer who was out of his depth and the cause of so many things wrong with QPR now, we questioned him because we are not stupid. It was nothing to do with racism.
Idiots like him are the reason why the words 'racism' and 'racist' long lost any value they had.

I hate the cant. I now hate him with every fibre of my being. He is now using his own colour to cover up the absolute shit job he did. If ever he shows his ugly mug again around loftus rd he should be booed.
No longer a legend, no longer an R.

Like others on here, race and colour didn't affect my judgement on him at all. Personally I would have liked to have Liam Rosenoir, then Derby County now Hull City, as a manager instead of GA.

I remember he complained about racism when he first broke into the team but Loftus Rd is a very different place these days. I haven't heard any racist chants for years. If he had faced racism it would be disgusting but as others have said the frustration is with results, as Ainsworth has learned. If anything he got an incredibly easy ride and survived for years despite presiding over failure. In fairness if he had been given full authority and not been second guessed by Fernandes maybe he would have done better but not sure he can point to enough successes to complain about getting the tin tack. How many games did Critchley get?

His lack of self awareness is mind boggling. Jumping on the woke / woe is me / victim bus that the world seems to be run by now. Sky sports probably already lined up. He fits the bill.

Not "woke" to call out racism. The point is (unless he can produce evidence) that his sacking almost certainly had nothing to do with racism.

Have to say, Ferdinand's not at fault here.
It's the BBC headline (which is getting more 'red-top' by the day) which is at fault.
Les Ferdinand says director of football role criticism was because of colour
His actual words were "Some of the criticism that came was because of my colour..."
And given the percentage of racist shits in our fanbase (like all fanbases), surely no-one here can say that's not true.
FFS, listen to or read the interview, not the sensationalised headline - and give the guy a break.

The criticism was because you were a fucking useless DOF. Where’s your legacy? Hoos has supposedly got the finances sorted so what did you do that’s left us more professional? If you were white and useless you’d still have been useless, and being white isn’t stopping Ainsworth getting dogs is it?

There was a period where there were undertones on the message boards because fans thought the club was recruiting to suit an agenda rather than bring the best we could afford into the club but, if in that period, Tim Sherwood had shown up - one of Les’ and Ramsey’s mates - there would have been uproar about him too.

From the piece on BBC - He said if he could change anything about his role "it would be having the plan and sticking to the plan rather than changing the plan".
What?
What fucking plan was that Les?
If Warburton was a plan why did you let him walk with no replacement lined up? You couldn’t have known Beale would shit on us but the turmoil started because we didn’t get anyone in after MW when you had five months notice he was off.

FFS, listen to or read the interview, not the sensationalised headline - and give the guy a break. none of the critisism ever came because of his skin colour though unless you're talking about the one or two knuckle draggers out there who hate anything black. but that kind of critisism just isn't valid imo and isn't a reflection of the fanbase or club. BBC and les himself have sensationalised it. les has been involved in the PR world for decades and at this point he can likely breeze through any interview no matter who its from. he wouldn't have pulled the race card unless he wanted to make a point. fact of the matter is NONE of us have seen or heard any racism towards les, even when les was at his worst none of us collectively saw or heard anything relating to his race when it came to the job he was doing. i'm a "liberal snowflake" but thats a hill i'll die on as its a very weak and slanderous thing for les to say. it makes us look bad to people who don't understand the issue as people outside the club will simply point out "well he held the job for 8 years so he must have been doing something right!" its a way for les to not only flatter himself but to also put his name out for a new role. no one is gunna hire him if he comes out and says "i wasn't good enough. i did some things well but i mostly took the club backwards." but if he comes out and says racism played a part in his critisism? well now he's the victim and we're the bad guys. he's a total spoon and has disrespected the club but also the fans by saying what he said. even saying "some" is spitting on us.
