It's not necessarily fitness for me he just seems to be a bit of a lumbeirng lumb who looks uneasy moving & not a natural at all.
Bloody hope he comes good & shoves my words back down my throat but based on what I have seen to date he's a bit of a dud.

Fair enough. You'd have a job saying Frey has had a better record in a QPR shirt than Polter so far.

I am just putting this out there but I think we will score a lot more goals this season than last. Feel free to bump this poster at the end of the season when it has turned out to be another bout of false optimism from me ! I should hope so mate given he only played 8/9 games last season & scored 1 goal

Call me daft, but I've got faith in him. We got him unfit and without bedding in time or a chance to get to know anyone & threw him straight in due to our piss poor striking options If he comes back fit and strong I believe he'll be an asset. Also, I would 150% take a 60% fit Frey over a 100% fit Donkey. 😄😄😄

Gives defenders problems. That's all we can ask!
The fact he's assisting and scoring too is fantastic!

Pleased for him and thought he thoroyghly deserved his goal tonight. We have 2 guys up top who work their nuts off game after game. Do not write Celar off as he will come good.

As I posted on the match thread, quite happy to be rapidly reassessing my opinion on Frey.
That guy last night was unrecognisable from the Frey of last season. Looks a proper striker at this level.

Looks a proper striker at this level. reassessing a player in a positive light is one of the best feelings in football lol. frey is fast becoming undroppable, last night from him outclassed every striking performance we had last last season. he was simply brilliant and exactly what we need from someone leading the line.

Clearly bust a gut over the summer to get himself fully fit for the start of the season. That shows such commitment and drive. Looks a real handful and can’t wait to see Chair with Dembele behind him.

Said before he reminds me a little bit of Pukki who was at Norwich. Not quick but bloody awkward to face for the equaliser there was two trying get at him but he just kept going.
Like Hodar in Game of Thrones

He was bloody superb last night. Strong as an ox and didn’t stop working. Took his goal brilliantly too. Making me eat my words massively and I love it!

Do not write Celar off as he will come good. Just needs playing with second striker like Frey … I totally agree 👍🏻

I’ve always quite liked him. You saw he was a cut above Lyndon as soon as he arrived: Andersen provided the service that wouldn’t even occur to Smyth, and Frey was in the right place to score.
Against WBA last season he played like he was high on coke he charged about so much.
And fully fit he has been excellent this season.
But this board veers from despair/ writing players off to building them up.
He has had a great start but let’s see where it ends. Still very conceivable that Celar is established as the main man by Christmas or that fans are gnashing their teeth that neither are scoring enough. Still very early days and way too early for “I told you so” IMHO.
