Agree but would obvs have to include Begovic in that not convinced myself. Very slow distributing the ball and been at fault for few goals too like second one Saturday. If archer was in goal not sure we would see much difference between the two.

He's also pulled off several top class saves to keep us in games
You'd have Archer ahead of Begovic?

You'd have Archer ahead of Begovic? i think there much a muchness, Asmir has not impressed me at all. He’s not done enough wrong to be dropped but I don’t think he’s head and shoulders above Archer. Watch how slow his distribution is tonight and how many breakaways he kills holding ball.

Not sure Archer would have made some of those arguably world class saves Begovic has pulled off Re distribution, take your point but how much is that down to the players making themselves available and showing for it? Tbf I've not really seen enough of Archer to fully judge him

Just keep the ball out of the net. We’ve got nine other players to play football. No, that’s not a mistake.

Watched Dykes, Smyth, chair, Willock and Paal all move into space and able to break but he holds it.
Against Plymouth and Southampton we need get ball forward and attack but he’s slowing game down like we’re ahead it’s very odd. Possibly it’s just his style assess all the options but when game is running out get it forward.

Does look very laid back and lethargic, true.

Archer is an accident waiting to happen with his goalkeeping skills and distribution, maybe he’s played a handful of first team games for us and in nearly every game he’s narrowly avoided being closed down in possession.
This is what Millwall fans think of him and I think he’s a clown keeper.

I always work on the premise of keeping sides within six points of you as back to back wins, as we saw, changes the whole picture and usually drags three or four clubs in amongst it.
However currently that only gives us Huddersfield as a target who Wednesday look likely to leapfrog.
As it stands it’s Plymouth down for the teams in the mix at a push up to Millwall depending on dips.

Nine points out of next three games. Nothing else will do. We need go ape shit if we don't get three points on Sunday.

If Marti gets us out of this the guy will be hailed as a genius, especially with what’s going on around him.

More likely 3 points out of the next 9 games

Our next eight games, we have
Watford (h) Millwall (h) Huddersfield (h) Blackburn (a) Norwich (h) Stoke City (a) Bristol City (a) Rotherham (h)
Id say we need at least four wins from those eight games.

We need 9 wins from the remaining 20 games. We've only won 9 of the last 59. And haven't won in 7. So we need win the next 3 home games. Otherwise we will need 9 from 17, which we won't ever get. Shit or bust January.

We have to keep those above us within 5 points distance as it stands that’s just Huddersfield. Some how we need draw three or four more clubs closer as if it’s a shoot out of three from four we’re fucked.

Let’s try somehow to win the next 2 and see where we are then.

Just a 3 positives…….I think we finally now have a fully fit squad. I think all games except Leicester away we can get something from. If you compare when we went to League 1 before, the performances are significantly better. We’re keeping in games.

Think to have the gap at 5 points now is not exactly a disaster, but we badly need to get something from the next two games.
That Huddersfield game feels hugely important for us, feels like a de-facto playoff.

Of course we can. 3 points off, in our own hands to be out of the drop zone by next Sunday evening.

Of course we can do it. It’s going to be tough though. I’d say we just can’t lose next week. Let’s not get all suicidal if we draw. We’ve been in all the games under ‘Martí. The big issues are 1) our first choice eleven hasn’t always been available. We need Chair, Cook, JCS on the pitch. 2) we’ve played better against good sides like Hull and Southampton. Look at Southampton results! We just don’t maintain that level for some of the weaker sides.

Don't mean to bring down the positivity here chaps but I'm firmly not getting my hopes up until we get to a position where we have some daylight between us and the bottom 3, above it not in it.
