Good strikers gamble on runs to anticipate ball coming in. It's called strikers' instinct. Had he done that he wouldn't have been two yards behind the ball when it came in.

Christ that last league he played in must have been good to get a return like he did🙄 Most players need coaching but surely Most players have a bit of knowledge themselves to make runs, hold up play etc...considering he actually gets paid for it

Looks like an automaton. Thinks the ball has to come to him. Wanders around slowly looking like an idiot savant. Get rid. I think idiot savants will be insulted.

We must not make the same mistake again and have another bed blocker for four years waiting for it to happen. Turn it round by Jan or fuck off.

How the fuck this guy is an international and played three games at the last Euros is beyond me. He looks completely and utterly lost out there.

Sick of him already.
Just pure shite.
Smyth whipped a lovwly ball in (for once) last night perfect for Celar to throw himself at and he didnt even bother. Zero strikers instinct & he doesn't make up for that with any redeeming attributes at all. Awful signing.

For as shit as Smyth is one thing you can’t knock him for is lack of effort you know he will give his all. If Celar copied him and put himself about banging into a few and roughing them up then he might get bit more rope but he looks disinterested, lazy, frightened and totally out of his depth.
Would love to have sight of the data that influenced this transfer.

Never thought I would say this, but Smyth could be a better option up front than Celar.

Awful signing. yeah that was dreadful from him. happened right infront of me, ball wasn't coming in at pace either but celar didn't even bother to stick out a leg. total lack of effort and had he stuck out a leg it almost certainly would have ended up in the net.

Zero strikers instinct & he doesn't make up for that with any redeeming attributes at all. Awful signing. I actually couldn't believe that. It's like he tries to go where the ball doesn't. And clearly expects the ball to come to him. I compared him to the Coventry 23, who never stopped working, looking for an opportunity, usefully linking up with the offensive midfielders. And all the time disengaged and an absent look on his face. Does he ever sprint?

When Dykes finally left we thought we'd got rid of one of the worst strikers ever to grace Loftus Road's hallowed turf, but it seems his ghost has returned to mock us. Without doubt the worst striker I have ever seen, for any team, ever, anywhere.

I described him as an "absolute ghost of player" last night. There doesn't seem to be anything going on in his head or anywhere else. He's not only the worst striker I've ever seen, he's also the strangest player I've ever seen. It's as if his soul has left his body and all we've got is the husk, moving around the pitch like an automaton.

I honestly think he's one of the worst strikers we've had here whilst at Championship level. He doesn't do anything well. He's so weak on the ball which kills us when we need someone up top to hold it up. He doesn't get into good positions, he doesn't anticipate anything and on the rare occasion he gets an opportunity he lacks composure. I think we should just give up on him. Send him packing in Jan for whatever we can get.

Yea was a moment towards the end of the game somebody passed the ball into his feet in the middle of the pitch, just a standard pass with a little zip on it, and it bounced off him like a fucking trampoline. Was embarassing.

I mean gamble in the sense that the striker can never be sure if the ball will come in, but they take the chance with the (timed) run anyway. So definitely a gamble. Lineker eg was a master at it

Marc Nygaard, George Santos, Stefan Moore, Daniel Nardiello, Michel Ngonge, Jamie Cureton, Conor Washington, Mike Sheron other names I’ve no doubt missed out all people that I saw play up front for QPR that I would rather see than Celar.
Saw that posted on Facebook, couldn't agree more. I'm sure there are more to add to that list. Lyndon Dykes, Mark Hateley, Adam Czerkas and Alessandro Pellicori spring to mind. Zan Celar is fucking shite.

I watched clips of him when we signed him and thought he could be useful but have to say he really is very very poor and offers nothing at all. Think Lloyd needs to be played up top as this guy is just pointless and a complete waste of time.

Lloyd don’t look ready to play up top but he’s the future so if we’re going be shit up top he might as well gain some experience in the big world
