Well I thought that was a decent first half. Especially given the line-up, with only three regular first team starters. Super pleased for Santos scoring his first goal, and he made a vital block near the end of the half to deny Morison. EDB doesn't think fast enough when he's on the ball, I think that's why he's not a first team player; he's got all the attributes apart from that, but he lacks sharp decision making.
I think Varane is starting to get up to speed with the English game and he will be very good once he's settled. Colback the usual mix of good moments and dodgy ones - like the tackle that gave them a free kick on the box that led to them scoring, eventually. Walsh looks decent between the sticks. Celar still not up to speed somehow, he's still tuning into his game it seems. Still think he'll come good. Dunne been busy, Cook a bit anonymous. Paal done ok so far.
