I suppose we have to be happy it wasn’t a tonking but we don’t know how to play 10 men and still a worry that our most dangerous player in front of goal is Jimmy Dunne. Good performances need goals.

Couldn't score in a fucking brothel though.

if you'd have offered me a draw before the game with that lineup i'd have ripped your arm off. we played well, dominated at times even and the players can hold their heads high today.
worrying lack of creativity and threat up top but to sunderland's credit they did defend very well.

So yery frustrating. think it's more a case of our players can't get into positions to shoot. none of them tried to make runs for through balls at all which limited us to trying to swing something in from the wing. saw some positives though, celar had a decent shot late in the second half. |

Most encouraging performance of the season. Because we finally had a midfield. Varane and Morgan is the pairing. And 4411 the formation. Field cover for JCS, where he was first class today, or to shore up the midfield if we're defending a lead.
Celar proved to be a sentient being for twenty minutes. Kudos to the Sunderland player who kicked him and clearly woke him up.
Unbeaten in three and a better team than the league leaders. On the debit side, we created little.

What will it take to put a decent ball in the box? Smyth is fucking infuriating. Twice he is free on the right, two defenders in the box, he stops, gives the left back a chance to recover and tries to take him on. Why?!!! By the time he's fucked around there's 5 defenders back in the box. Fucking pisses me off. If he just crossed the ball he would be an asset but he's actually holding us back. |

Well we have atleast stopped the rot.
Had we been offered two draws before Burnley and Sunderland I think most would have said yes plus back to back clean sheets.
Just disappointing never really took advantage of ten men but we were the better side imo even when they had eleven. Fact they are top kind of shows how even this league is.
Morgan had great game but died last 15mins should have gone off Varane also died towards end of second half too.
Massively disappointed with Chair and Smyth neither look like creating and are both so predictable.
Better showing from Madsen and Celar.
Injuries are stacking up now which is a concern.

Have to say this is a great result
Clean sheet considering we have loads of injuries
We need to start winning but to do
That you need to stop losing
Our attack is a huge worry though
We cannot score at all this is a big problem
Cant believe JCS is out yet again hopeless

On the debit side, we created little. And that is the problem which has been worrying me since pre season, more so than the defending, more so than the holding play. Seriously: lack of a 10 is still a massive problem. A 9 would come in handy. If we dont have either, then its down to Marti to use tactics. Eg should have gone straight 4-3-3 when they went to ten. |

Exact as I saw it. Madsen & Varane really showed up today with some solid and at times intricate passing. Morgan is a breath of fresh air. Passes quick and forward and can see things early. Needs to learn that it doesn't work every time though and needs to take a second on the ball but he tackled and won some headers too. Looks a good prospect. Two point blank headers straight at the keeper today was the difference when it came to chances. We gave them hardly anything apart from one shot that hit the beans. Field done a great job standing in for JCS. |
