With regards Smyth, It's a very frustrating one.
For what he gives you in effort, energy and intent he's fucking awful with his final ball and his shooting is nothing short of embarrassing.
He continually makes the wrong decisions game after game yet manages to keep his place. That shows you how fucked we are.
Ashby similar. Does some great work then completely wastes it with stupidity. Twice yesterday he done really well, yet both times he tried an outside of the boot pass when there was absolutely no need killing the move. Just stick to the fucking basics. Two players that are clearly not Championship level.
Varane winning me over though with his athleticism and strength.

We watched a different player stanis was a bloody awful performance. If taking it to Stoke is getting every decision wrong I wish he had decided not to take it to them. There is no defence for that performance today or any of his performances he’s simply not good enough. Whilst we have too choose him we’re going to stagnate. He won a penalty. Madsen takes that instead of Celar and scores and we're straight back in the game. No one will deny his finishing is woeful, but he does make things happen, he does provide attacking momentum; it's far from brilliant, but in a team that's on its knees, it's something that, as Stains says, is lacking from the rest of the team bar Saito. He's also good at winning defensive free kicks, thereby breaking up an opposition attack and he did this a few times yesterday, which relieves pressure on the defence. It's not much, but it's something. but that argument is on a par when fans where saying last season he won a throw that led to a goal were really scrapping the barrel trying to find positives for him. I don’t doubt his effort it’s up there with best in squad but there is zero end product. He’s a winger he’s selected not to win pens or throw ins (they are a bonus) his primary job is to get ball beat man and deliver the ball into the box or score goals. His stats tell you he unfortunately don’t do that as he’s not good enough so I would argue the point he makes stuff happen as in the areas that actually count (goals and assists) he don’t. He will probably end up with one goal and four assists and that will be why we’re in a relegation scrap, if fans want make excuses for him they also need stop moaning about the position were in as they go hand in hand. Today after every fuck up and bad decision you could hear actual sighs and groans from the stands not booing but an acceptance he won’t deliver anything. Said to Wycombe when he’s on ball I expect absolutely nothing your not on the edge of your seat as you know it’s going end up in the stands or with the keeper zero end product and for some reason gets away with it as fans accept it.

How many times in last few home games has he put the ball into the top tier?
It's unbelievable that a professional footballer cannot keep a shot down so often.

Fuck, no one is saying he's much good, just that he does something in a team that produces very, very little right now. And you can't deny that winning a penalty - especially if it's converted! - is a significant contribution.
Of course this is a 'two bald men fighting over a comb' argument, but this is what we're reduced to. Desperate times, desperate measures.

hubs I agree with you on the pen point but he’s not winning a pen a game and doing nothing else. I think we’re on the same page but I’m just more vocal in my unhappiness towards him.

Can't deny he actually does more than most in the side. Unfortunately he also fucks up more than most in the side too. It's very frustrating.

All the players at our club are good. They better than 90% of uk public fact. Problem is other clubs seem to have an upgrade on what we have. We can slate our players but end of day however shit we say they are we will never achieve even their level.

Lloyd needs finish that chance at the end Should have gone low and hard but credit keeper who done another job on us yesterday with some big saves. Know you don't like him but seems decent to me and showed it again yesterday.

Thought if we pressed him with ball at his feet we would have got a mistake out of him as he hung onto it until last minute.

Just saw clip of their disallowed goal. He did use arm to control it, so handball but for some reason ref didn’t blow until ball hit net. Great skill from their no 10 though. Seems odd that it took so long to be blown. Unless he was speaking to the lino but we got away with one.

Just blow the whistle at the time of the offence to save the confusion and bollox.

Shouldn’t we have had a 2nd blatant penalty when Saito was pushed over on edge of the box?

Just got in from my other distraction - picked up anew motorbike this afternoon Sounds like an eventful game. Just think what a huge lift a late winner would have given us going forward. I still have faith that Marti is right for us - just hope he doesn’t lose the dressing room, because that would mean the end of his time at Loftus Road. We need recruits in January to 'do a Chris Martin’ for us.When was the last time we didn't have to rely on a January transfer window to save our season? Bloody YONKS ago! And we've had some half-decent players in for those loans. Chris Martin did his job, Hugill put himself about and at least knew where the goal was. But the best in recent years was Nahki Wells - we had the chance to sign him permanently and he wanted to sign. But we let him go, and he's been cracking them in for Bristol City for very nearly 5 years. And we signed a certain heavily-tattooed Australian/Scot...

Would not be against putting in a cheeky offer to Rotherham for Hughill a smart robust forward who has a cunt in him is what’s needed.
