Unlucky boys. Far better performance That results is a turning point bring on Cardiff He is pretty useless. That said, his misses are better than Celar's!

Yep. But a million times better than Celar. Agree but that’s like being the best looking bloke on the burns unit. Yep. But he plays. It's actually cruel to pick Celar.

i'm happy with the performance tbh. wasn't able to make it to the game today so watched it online instead. we could easily have won that match but for a few crucial saves and blocks.
everyone looked decent aside from smyth and celar. lloyd offers nothing when it comes to scoring but brings pressing, determination and enthusiasm up top so certainly has the nod over celar such are our slim pickings at the moment.
as for celar ... there's nothing really left to be said is there? guys gotta be feeling like shit right now so i do feel for him. wish madsen took the penalty but i understand why they gave it to celar. smyth though ... arguebly as bad as celar, 4 shots 2 of which were decent opportunities but he did nothing with any of them. lost the ball a lot too and didn't get a single good cross in. awful performance from him today.

Another self-inflicted wound. We played well enough and did enough to win that game. Same individuals letting us down time after time. Was the support for Marti a message to Nourry and co?

Just walked in.
The game could have gone so many ways for us and for them.
Whilst the result is not ideal the draw is valuable as not many of us would have had us getting back in it once we went behind. Seasons can rise and fall on small moments and we saw few today the celar miss then Madsen gets taken off after taking corner and we then score from corner, had he been on we probably don’t score then their hosl at end gets chalked off.
I saw enough today to see a team fighting for the manager and themselves. As with previous games were our worst enemy as Dunne 100% responsible for their opener and celar misses pen.
Smyth is truly a woeful player and fact he’s a starter week in week out tells story of why we are where we are as he should be lucky to make the bench let alone the team. He’s shooting is appalling four shots today none on target.
People questioned Marti not starting Morgan but that cameo really showed he was right. He had a great first team games but well short since, ok to be on Bench but let’s not get overly excited he’s got so much still to learn.
Madsen if you play like that week in week out not many will complain so you’ve set the minimum standard.
Saito really growing on me!!! See Ashby getting some stick above but I thought he was rock solid today. Lloyd came on added some effort up top and put himself about.
Very decent performance which I think deserved all the points comfortably better side for 90mins but we lack composure attacking with final pass and shot.
If that team is fit against Cardiff with a few tweaks fancy us to win.

Other than Celar, new lads did fine today. As west says above, Dunne at fault for goal and Celar misses a pen. We shouldn’t be losing at half time. How many times did we hit the woodwork? 3?

Smyth two shots both into the top tier 🙄 his other two one hit the cross bar and the other after trying to control it on four occasions he done a dribble of a shot I can piss hard then that shot he took.

Just got in from my other distraction - picked up anew motorbike this afternoon Sounds like an eventful game. Just think what a huge lift a late winner would have given us going forward. I still have faith that Marti is right for us - just hope he doesn’t lose the dressing room, because that would mean the end of his time at Loftus Road. We need recruits in January to 'do a Chris Martin’ for us.When was the last time we didn't have to rely on a January transfer window to save our season?

This. As I think it was Hubble said in the match thread at the time - in that one decision you see the lack of disciple and decision making in this club from top to bottom

Look at that third goal from spurs just now and compare that to Smyth effort from cut back. Hits it first time and goal, Smyth would still be trying to control it if there was not defenders shutting him down.

Just to play a bit of devils advocate on Smyth today (and before i’m slated have been saying for god knows how long that he has zero end product and shouldn’t be near the first team). BUT: he was about the only player taking it to Stoke. All the others were hitting five yard square passes, often giving the ball away in the process. Every time we had possession the ball was passed out wide because we don’t have a single central midfielder capable of threading a pass through the middle. Poor as Smyth is, take him out of that side and where (Saito aside) is the attacking intent? We actually got worse when he went off. Marti has no good options at the minute.

Up Norf so missed the game but the weather is so bad this afternoon that I ended up watching the game live on my cousin's bent fire stick (he's going to jail not me!)
We had a really decent start and if Paul Smyth had that little bit more footballing je ne sais quoi he would have got a brace of goals before they scored firing over twice when running on goal ... A frustrating player as he causes havoc with his pace ..
As ever a defensive error gave the advantage to Stoke... Paul Smyth again caused enough havoc to be bundled over in the area and give us a precious penalty to square the match at 1 - 1 which was handed to Celar (he has scored one in the cup game shoot outs)... His penalty miss reminded me of Rashford against Italy where he sent Buffon the wrong way but hit the other post and set about that tragic defeat ... I'm not sure the way back for him now as his confidence must be rock bottom but Lloyd doesn't look much better but I'm a level 7 Sunday league ref so what do I know about football ?... Got to pray Frey is getting near fitness
The second half we got the bit of luck you need when an OG went in but again Smyth went through but didn't hit the target at least for a third time....
Gavin Ward somehow saved us with a hand ball control decision in the 85th minute when it looked like Marti was about to get his P45 from the club as the fellah leathered it past Nardi... Alfie Lloyd had his chance to win the game but the goalie made himself big
Ashby was lucky as his trip was so cynical that I as dog shite ref would have been tempted to red card...
So another draw at home and death by a thousand cuts goes to Cardiff next...

We watched a different player stanis was a bloody awful performance. If taking it to Stoke is getting every decision wrong I wish he had decided not to take it to them.
There is no defence for that performance today or any of his performances he’s simply not good enough. Whilst we have too choose him we’re going to stagnate.

My wording was that he looks like he's a threat, but he isn't. He gets in behind twice in the first half and skies it. He drills it low with loads of defenders in the way. 2nd half does brilliantly, getting away from 3 or so defenders ... then hits it over the bar again. He's just not good enough for this league.

Just saw clip of their disallowed goal. He did use arm to control it, so handball but for some reason ref didn’t blow until ball hit net. Great skill from their no 10 though.

Madsen takes that instead of Celar and scores and we're straight back in the game. No one will deny his finishing is woeful, but he does make things happen, he does provide attacking momentum; it's far from brilliant, but in a team that's on its knees, it's something that, as Stains says, is lacking from the rest of the team bar Saito. He's also good at winning defensive free kicks, thereby breaking up an opposition attack and he did this a few times yesterday, which relieves pressure on the defence. It's not much, but it's something.
