When he played for us never saw anyone being happy with him. Now everyone praising him.Who is praising him? I for one, would like to at least see him in the team, or as a substitute, in matches where his style of play is needed to control or change matches. Football is just as much about destroying the opposition as it is about this "taking care of the football" style which obviously more often than not leads to nothing now when the manager himself has destroyed the fluidity in the play. |

People forget how poor his ball retention is. That's why he lost his place to BGB. It's one of the few decisions Marbs actually got right.

Can't fully agree with that Stan.
Agree that Field is an improvement. To banish Ball from the first team picture in favour of Hendrick was a shocking piece of decision making from the Manager.

Like his character and would happily have as a squad player dipping in here and there but if we want improve then we need players better then we have. I think he sees himself as starter so on that basis need go separate ways

i'd have liked for ball to get another year as he is a dedicated player but don't think he'll be missed too much tbh.
plus at this stage of his career he will undoubtedly want to be playing regularly. according to wiki he played 11 league games this season and while i think he should have played in double that he's still never gunna be more than a squad player.
field is a better version of ball imo, plus amos can play that role and you also have duke-mckenna too who's done very well out on loan by all accounts.
good luck to wherever ball ends up. could see him going to wycombe personally

Always thought he was a good option especially off the bench, he added some teeth to a midfield that didn't have much of that, he did give away some FK's and was susceptible to a card here and there but that is the nature of a style like that! A player like that is replaceable but I really think MW should have played him more, I think our results were better when Ball was seeing the field!

Liked Dom Ball and I know few thought he should of being starting fixture but again fact he’s been picked up down the divisions tells you he was not good enough
Squad player more then happy to have him in that role but if we have aspirations of progressing needed better
