Really like the look of him. Does everything so far you expect from a keeper hence why never got all the we must defend Lumley at every chance and make excuses for his fuck ups
Lumley was a shot stopper Dieng looks like a goal keeper

Very happy with Dieng so far. Pulled out a couple of good saves as well. Be good to see how he copes being bombarded like Kelly and Lumley were last year at times.

Not scared to take out a cross, I like that. It takes so much pressure off defenders.

Makes it look easy I think a big part of this is his positioning, then reading and anticipation of the ball's flight - which then makes his catching and saves look easy.

Seems to deal well with crosses. just like Jesus lol. the lad is full of confidence. him and lumley is night and day. one comes out for everything and owns the ball, the other, just sits on his goal line and flaps at everything. we have our number 1 at last, time to move on, poppadom

He’s certainly going to get some good practice with our defence.

Dieng is more of an old school keeper where coming off your line to take crosses was the norm. The modern keeper is more of a shot stopper who stays at home. Much rather have the former as it breeds confidence and certainty as thr defenders know that the keeper will take charge when needed. Good start for him and hopefully he keeps it going.

Can honestly say he's not at all been at fault for any of the goals we've conceded since he came in. Brilliant so far.

Easily the best keeper we've had since Smithies, I think today has confirmed that. Pulled off a world class save, plus another excellent one, which kept us in the game. He seems to have the perfect temperament for a keeper too. So calm under pressure.
Does make you wonder why Warbs held back so long from playing him (1.5 seasons?), despite all the rave reviews he was getting from his loan spells. He obviously had high hopes for Lumley and Kelly (his own signing) but it just never worked out.

Biggest positive of the season so far. What a difference having a decent keeper. I think with him and Dickie, we got makings of decent defence.

So much more comfortable with him between the sticks.

Very good start from Dieng and I think playing with no fans has helped him as no boo boys there to give him grief.

So much more comfortable with him between the sticks. kane has looked quality in defence and going forward, great to see him and ozzy battling it out for the RB spot. agree on dieng too, he does the basics incredibly well and also pulls off some excellent saves too. massive improvement on lumley and kelly and could finally be the keeper to replace smithies!
