I think likely picked up knock as can’t see him going from starter first three games to not good enough for the bench. Think he would have possibly been dropped from first 11 but not bench too

Odd one though Westy as Warbs said squad is at full strength other than Wallace and Shodipo.

I'd bet he was dropped on form which, if true, is something that I'd applaud after previous managers having their "undroppables"

If he is not playing well or good enough then he should be dropped. On what he has shown it is no great loss.

Scowen has a role to play in tough away games, he works hard and closes down the spaces. He doesn't have a role to play when sides come to HQ and sit in as the away team. That's when we need to be more creative to open teams up. Just my opinion. He isnt a bad player but very inconsistent

No mention of him being injured saturday and wasn't on the bench, so assuming he was dropped? Anyone know? I think I read he was injured in Clives report on LFW

He has now closed down his twitter account due to the amount of stick that he has been getting from the fans.
Feel for the fella, its not his fault that he is not very good.

That’s pretty poor form if people are directly digging him out. Some people are not mature enough for social media

But its bang out of order for any of fans to be digging him out directly on Twitter like that. What exactly do they think they are gonna achieve?

I have been saying for over 40 years; no-one ever played better after getting verbally abused. Scowen IS good enough as witnessed by the games he has played for us since he joined. Maybe he is struggling with adapting to the new system(s) but he is still a good footballer.

I think problem esox is he’s an Ollie player brought in play a way Ollie liked. All hustle and bustle but current system requires different skills set. Not his fault in fairness

Not his fault in fairness Quite likely Westy but he doesn't deserve abuse from people who are supposed to be QPR fans does he? As the years go by, and the spread of SM pervades our lives it is plain that QPR has it's fair share of complete cunts who think they are QPR supporters, the clue is in the word supporter.

I would have rated him the lowest in the side yesterday too, he had a poor game. I wouldn't consider laying in to him over it though.

Mindless cretins. He gives 100% every game. He'll know he has to improve and Warburton must see something in him to keep playing him.

Me neither mate, well certainly not directly like these wankers on Twitter. The point I'm making is it's not just me and Westy that can see he ain't up to playing the sort of football that Warburton wants us to be playing!

Which begs the question; what does MW see that we don't, to start him? I can see Matt Smith replacing him, or Amos when he is fit again but there must be something that we, as fans, aren't seeing.

No need for such abuse. It's outrageous. Fella tries his best. One poor effort at controlling the ball saw him stare at the heavens in frustration. He's been poor, though.

Not a good enough player for our team now but having to delete his account is way over the top.

He's a spoiler. He's good at that. Breaking up play and good in the tackle. But Warbs hooked him at HT on Saturday as clearly he was having a poor game in which he sloppily conceded possession several times. As for the abuse on his Twitter page, it's outrageous and absolutely no excuse for that.

Doesn't matter a jot how good or bad a player is or has played. People will have their opinions and are entitled to them, but dickheads that hurl abuse at a player on social media behind their little keyboards, where no one can retaliate appropriately, are not fans. At all. They're mindless, sad, pathetic little cretins. Shitstains that do nothing but bring down the rest of the fans and the players themselves, all to satisfy their need to feel big and tough. Before anyone turns around and says, "yeah but he's a football player on social media, he needs to get a backbone or a stronger skin", just think for one second and imagine that's your son or daughter. Would it be alright then? Should they just get a backbone? I hope someone puts an arm around Scowen and helps him out here, if he's deleted his account it's obviously affected him. He probably already knew his performance was below par, and has beaten himself up about it. He doesnt need fucking cunts doing it too.

You really need to be one thick, ignorant mother to even consider abusing a player on twitter.
It’s just a shame that the players have more dignity than to point out just how much of an inadequate loser the perpetrator must surely be.

And that’s the problem with social media in a nutshell. Any wanker with a smartphone can say anything to anyone whenever they want. They aren’t supporters they are just cunts

If you got problem with players ability or efforts and you want sound off or debate it a message board such as this or others is the way to do it. Going direct to someone to abuse them safely behind your screen is cowardice. Notice lots of these numpties don’t even have the balls to have profile pic of themselves as I guess they want to bully with freedom of not to being outed

If you ain't happy with the team or a particular players performance, get if off your chest down the pub over a beer with your mates, or on a site like this where the players would need to go out of their way to read it. Attacking someone directly on Twitter is not only bang out of order, it's also totally counter-productive. Why further destroy the confidence of a player that is already having a bad time?!!
