In my opinion we are not vocal enough across the whole side.
Never see much healthy remonstrating with each other and communication is a key factor in the game.
Ive said before we do not have a natural leader of any quality but other teams have 3 or 4.
No leader since the likes of Hill And Derry.

Barbet vocal? Not seen that so far during his time with us. From where I sit at the front of MU, Lumley is the most vocal among the defence. LOL Maybe so but don't think he carries the character to actually put the fear of god in fellow team mates like say in the extreme Roy Keane ,Tony Adams etc. |

"Come on" sort of thing and what I imagine are positioning requests at set pieces as I can't hear them. Holding the line during opposition attacks seems to be BFG's or Halls job as you would expect. The other thing you see with Joe is unbridled joy when we score, he really responds like any of the rest of us. He's been with us since he was 15 and seems to really enjoy being here. |

I don't think many teams have a vociferous gobshite like Keane as a captain any more and look how good Barton was as a captain, he was more interested in putting the blame on anyone but himself and that bollocks about Hill/ Derry told him to do it up at Man City really epitomised what a cunt he was. Players like Luongo & Tjarron Chery in recent years were noticeable for going round encouraging the team during games and maybe a modern team doesn't need someone screaming at them to perform. |

The last keeper who was vocal in the right way was Paddy who was constructive and got those in front of him in position and organised. Lumley is not the most vocal but would the centre backs would also show a bit of leadership. Going back to Paddy and that team we had big characters all over. Hill, Derry, Faurlin, Heidar and even Bradley Orr. Different characters now as they most likely do not want to be the one to dig someone out.

can't get why a keeper finds it hard to distribute the ball and notnbe able to use both feet. What does he do in training? Shows why you should appreciate good keepers like Smithies. We've a couple of dodgy ones at the moment

Look. Neither GK nor any of our backline call the drills. None of them dominate either. As we said earlier, the last defender we had who could call it and beast it was Dunne. I hate to go on about this but when Arsenal went unbeaten they spent all their training time endlessly practicing the calls and learning the drills, attack vs defence all day long. They shall not fucking pass, end of.
I don't buy this modern crap about the skipper role not being important - neither does Mr.Klopp. You dont need a psyco but you do need someone you'd be glad to have with you in the trenches, someone who is not going to disappear when the shit comes down. We've been bullied a few times this season (WBA come to mind) at both ends of the park and frankly thrown in the towel. That's not acceptable, I don't mind getting spanked but you do not raise the white flag, ever.
I think Joe's confidence issues come from playing behind an iffy back line and being asked to do a job that doesn't come naturally. Having said that, Senni cooling his arse for another six month stretch at Donny makes little sense to me.

We cannot continue to go into each game needing to score 2 plus goals in order to give us a chance at getting three points. his one handed shot stoppers are good, very good in fact but, he does not seem able to catch a ball or time the high balls, corners well. Well get to the games and encourage him. When his confidence returns, his form may follow. Utter shite today |

He made a very good save in the 2nd half. Problem is he also made another howler in the first, and also was guilty of not commanding his area well enough on a few occasions.
Need to take him out of the limelight in my opinion. Not a huge fan of Kelly either, but he's a better bet right now. Better still, let's try and get a keeper on loan to allow us to loan Lumley out to see if he can find some form again.

If he clears the ball too half way line like he should then they don’t attack and score. We are always scrambling in defence as we fail to do the first part of defending right He’s kicked the ball, trying to clear it up field same way he did at Fulham, to the opposition. It’s not hard being able to kick the ball, its the very least we should expect from a professional footballer taking home what 4K a week Totally baffled me why fans choose to try snd make excuses instead of just calling it as it is |
