Hq, as much as I adore it is outdated and a massive drain on the coffers. It can’t be used for anything other than football 23 times in 9 months. For the club to survive and dare i say it actually turn over some proper money we have to move. End of. It’s got nothing to do with attendances we won’t fill it etc etc, it’s what that building can generate in the way of profit for the club on non match days. Without ffp we could get away with it easier but being a central London club means massive outlays and lr just doesn’t cut the mustard anymore. It’s shit but it is reality Spot on!

continue with what we have had to watch in the past years and we'll struggle to get 10,000 in the ground

Love LR but if we want to be competing even at Championship level we need a bigger place that can increase revenue for the club. Sentiment is lovely and all that but it won't keep us where we are for very much longer.

we need to get a winning team on the pitch , that will increase crowds , to build a new stadium that will be half full on match days will kill us .

Successful, entertaining football attracts new faces and keeps them. What we have been producing for the last 3 years would be enough to drive away all but the most committed. And very nearly has. Much more of it and a ground the size of Bournemouth’s will be perfectly adequate.

That's all very good, but I'm still not sure why this obsession with W12 has been allowed to persist. We are a West London club not W12 and a study to ascertain our 'heartland' put it out by Acton. W1 is quite pricey though. Although Green Park Rangers has a ring to it. Probably be able to get a band to play at half time too.

Given we've been in W12 for over 100 years I'd hardly call it an obsession, more like a reality. Personally I'd love it if we relocated to LCS and would absolutely prefer we stay in the borough. I could just about accept Acton but any further out would take away what the heart and soul of Rangers means for me.

A return to our ancestral roots of Queens Park I could happily live with, as that was my local park growing up and have many a nostalgic memory of the area :-)

A return to our ancestral roots of Queens Park I could happily live with, as that was my local park growing up and have many a nostalgic memory of the area :-) Didn't know that Stan. As I live about a 5 minute walk away, I'd take that in a heartbeat! Sadly there is nowhere at all around here with potential, nearest would be Car Giant at top of Scrubs Lane. That's another reason why I think LCS is such a good option as it's only a bit further down the road from there and Willesden Junction is a very viable transport hub, you can walk it in 10/15 minutes and you've got Bakerloo and Overground from Euston.... Mind you, having said that, there is still a lot of site space back of Sainsbury's Ladbroke Grove and that would be an amazing site for a new stadium, overlooking the Grand Union canal. I think they're building something there, but just look at this for a site: www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5263283,-0.2207452,298m/data=!3m1!1e3 Edit: you need to add the second part of that URL to see it just bung all this in the address line, not just what's highlighted by this site: www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5263283,-0.2207452,298m/data=!3m1!1e3

As I live about a 5 minute walk away, I'd take that in a heartbeat! Yes Hubs. Grew up in Willesden Green and went to Malorees School on Christchurch Avenue, just round the corner from Queens Park where I spent many a happy day hanging out and playing football with school mates. Sadly there is nowhere at all around here with potential, nearest would be Car Giant at top of Scrubs Lane. Makes you wonder if the club have considered it...

True we have played at Loftus Road for 100 years but not until recently, and I could be wrong, have the club been so adament about staying within the postcode. Suspect that's much to do with consultation and feedback from fans, be it on social media or fan groups. Whether that view is representative of the entire fan-base is hard to say.

Two things that really concern me about this...if it happens.
1: A 30'000 capacity stadium. We won't fill it and we don't need or want day trippers.
2: A generic bowl stadium like Southampton, Leicester...etc
This is a BIG move and I'm not confident the club will get it right.

Why wouldn't we need tourists? Better than empty seats IMO. I think the sensible thing would be to build a smaller stadium around 20-25,000 and once things improve on the pitch and we've got significantly more demand for SEASON TICKETS then think about expanding the ground. We won't and don't have loads of tourists wanting to come to Loftus Road and if we get back into the PL we don't want day trippers with their half and half scarfs killing the atmosphere! The seats should be filled with season ticket holders and members. The only day trippers should be the QPR fans who can't come regularly and people from the community who get free/discounted tickets.

Even in the article that QPR have posted they have mentioned having steep stands and not a generic bowl shape. Brighton probably thought they would never sell theirs but they went from 6k to 30k. We will sell it out, eventually. And we most certainly do need the day trippers. Pretty naive to think that we don't need as many people as possible. Every club has them; as long as they aren't put into the livelier areas of the ground then it makes no difference. Hate it when you see groups of foreign college students in the x block.

I'm not being naive. Financial success will come from regular support from season ticket holders/members and all efforts and business models should be designed to encourage that and not a precarious source of income. First and foremost we need to get QPR fans back in the ground on a regular basis before we even think about building a new stadium that is 10k+ bigger than KPFS.
Brighton previously played at the Goldstone Ground where they had a much larger average attendance than at the Withdean, plus going into the Prem for the first time will raise interest in a one team town with a lot of 'football' fans who wouldn't of had easy access to live PL football before.
You've got to look at it over a long period of time and Brighton's current PL stint isn't long enough to use as a comparison. We can look at our own average attendance across the 30 years and it will probably be around 15k. And that's with a few spells in the PL, Championship winning season and a play-off! We're not a 30k stadium club. We also don't need to be.
We need a new stadium, but should be realistic about what we build.
