That would help ,but please ,realistic answers only !! The subject has been raised at fan site meetings over the last few years. The club say they are doing all they can by QPR in the Community Trust work, involving local schools etc. Yes, demograph has definitely changed over the years with much hardcore support having moved out of the area. So the grass roots work the club have been doing will take time to transmit to more locally based support. But yes, obviously the more success we get on the pitch will only help the situation, as most kids today are naturally influenced by the EPL, CL etc and all the instant entertainment value that brings.

Positive news. Surprised at the lack of QPR fans getting involved so it is even more positive that the actual locals want a stadium there is great. Maybe some chose not to state they were Rangers fans, so as to appear more neutral. Might look a bit suspect if everyone was a ST holder. 😂

Mel Morris just said on talksport having multi purpose stadium for derby is worth up to another £15mil a season surely more to be made with a multi purpose stadium in prime location in London

Some of these people like Kate Morris live in cloud cuckoo land. They have been told the council cannot afford to lose £1m+ on this site and therefore will not maintain it. What state do they think it would become. Pleasant, peaceful dog walks, bird watching and picnics would be no more without someone to subsidise it.

Picnics on the Scrubs at weekends?? Do me a fucking favour. I've been going there since I was a kid and I've never seen people picnicking at weekends. Dog walking and model plane flying, yes. It has a nice kind of wilderness part to it, which I'd like to see preserved of course, but half of it a vast area of rarely used football pitches. People walking from the stations once every couple of weeks isn't going to change all this.

What did you put? I don't use Twitter so not got a clue how to look. My tweeted reply to her: "Honestly this is nonsense. Born Hammersmith hospital and used WSC since childhood. QPR home games once a fortnight in season will not create anything like the impact you claim. Vast football pitch area is totally underused and LCS is decrepit. Redevelopment beneficial for locals."

Just wondering if there’s been any update on either.
Seems to have gone really quiet on both fronts. I know the stadium is a while off but I thought the training ground was meant to be well on its way now with work starting a few months back.

On the podcast they discussed this and they had been told stadium, at earliest, would be five years away as they expect same opposition as warren farm

when i went to the committee meeting in place of stanley last month it was brought up.
i'm not really allowed to say much about the situations but what i can say is that the training ground is being held up again but the club views it as a complete nonissue and from what i was told it genuinely does just sound like a bump in the road. they expect to begin building asap.
the stadium situation is positive too, the council are on board and most of the local residents are in favour of us having a new stadium there. the council still want to explore all avenues first though

Good news Corbs. Still think we're at least 10 years away from a stadium though. Hopefully less than that for the training ground.

Hi friendly Bee here again. Don't underestimate how long it takes to get a stadium out of the ground in London. We identified and obtained an option for our new site over 10 years ago. We got final planning consent for it and the 900 homes to go up around it in November 2013. The actual stadium is due to be handed over to us during the first quarter of next year! Delays due to shithousery by companies and people owning ransom strips on the site which required CPJ's to finalise acquisition of the full site delayed us by 2 or 3 years.
PS. I'm really not a WUM and still think it was a Pen but I guess we see what we want.......

Completely off the topic of this thread but..... Bollox to the pundits. Feeling a touch and "entitled to go down" is cheating and should be called that. Falling in a unnatural way is also cheating. Being tripped or knocked off your feet is a foul. Refs are thick and pundits set poor examples
