It concerns me that the club, who have the richest owners in football, want to fund it with a bond scheme whereby the fans pay for it.
smelling the coffee.... comes to us all Esox mate.

I would really love to stay where we are. Develop both ends buy the houses LR end.Relocate the school maybe on the pitches down SA Rd or maybe under the new stand allthough natural light could be a problem. We could increase capacity by maybe 6000 by doing this and maybe more with a standing area. Then maybe a new stand on SA Rd. With new building methods maybe we could attain a capacity of 28000 which would be more than adequate.
Just thinking out loud.

What's the average house price around there - gotta be around the 1 mill mark? Trouble is if the club agreed to buy out the majority of them you'll get one or two that look to hold to ransom and get well over the odds.

From what i hear ,the capacity wont increase at all with safe standing , it will be basically the seat you are in at the moment but standing up with a barrier in front of you , i may be ill informed but it certainly wont be like the packed surging terraces of the 70s/80s Think you’re right Vespa. Not sure it looks too attractive either. View AttachmentCorrect. That is what we have been told for the safe standing at our new stadium at Lionel Road for when SS actually comes in. Seat position with rail in front. No change in capacity. Oh and we don't have a problem with the capacity and exits as some have pondered. In fact they've found for space for circa 500 more seats but need revised PP to include them.

I would estimate about 12 on LR.I didnt mention elerslie as fair few along that side.School end could be larger if the school was relocated. In time rebuild SA Rd stand to link with both ends eventually. We could apply to build over the road itself thus forming a tunnel with shops takeaways pie and mash community hall banqueting suite etc. Im dreaming i know but we are not making much headway with other plans.

According to Zoopla estimates, properties on Ellerslie road range from £1.3m to £1.6m and there are fifty houses and six flats in total. Loftus Road & Batman Close won't be too dissimilar albeit Batman Close is apartments.

i think they'd be way too much blowback in trying to relocate the school as well and would be terrible PR for the club. can you imagine the headlines?
plus it'd cost a fortune too buying those houses and flats.

Say 12 mill for the houses, relocation of school to a brand new facilty under the newly constructed stand could be seen as a plus point from a community point of view.
Latest technology for the kids modern building maybe a new gym which could be used in conjunction with the club the school and the community along with a variety of other facilities.
Bearing in mind the total cost of a new stadium would probably exceed 50-60 million minimum,i feel it could be possible.
Would also solve the problem of relocating and a possible winner with Hammersmith and Fulham council.

Easy to see why the club got no interest in going down that route then AFAIK both Chris Wright and Richard Thompson looked into that avenue and I know from having spoken to him about it that Lee Hoos has also taken a look and said "It will never happen", presumably due to cost.

I know you love to shoot me down but please comment on what i have posted😉

I know you love to shoot me down but please comment on what i have posted😉 All the previous investigations have centred around Ellerslie Road, which was why I posted those figures. Moving further back into the school area might well be viable, we were after all offered it cheaply when Chris Wright was in charge, Building back towards the houses on the other side of Loftus Roads could well bring issues over ancient light etc. Someone like Leigh may know about this this than me wIth his building background.

I would guess there are more then 12 houses behind Loftus Road too For record what you suggest I have often thought of myself as the solution, with school part of new facilities but disappointingly that horse has bolted given costs of houses on the two sides. With out totally revamping three ends (blom, LR, ER) I don’t think it would be worth it

All posts are calm, sensible and logical Thanks West, I DO try to be pragmatic and stoical over what is happening but some of the hyperbolic statements after a defeat are like a red rag to me and I can't help but bite. I don't readily recall us clashing over anything but I wouldn't be surprised if we had, I am pig headed about defending QPR against what I perceive to be over the top or unjustified criticism.
