I wonder if some football fans are growing heartily sick of FFP, VAR, same old teams winning everything, along with the diving and cheating in the Sky version of top flight football? The Spurs vs Arsenal WSL game today was played in front of 38,262 fans and the Everton vs Liverpool WSL game attracted 23,500 fans. I don't know what the ticket prices for these games were and I am sure that would have a bearing but those are respectable gates.

Anyone else find it a bit weird that the Sky TV scheduler doesn't really make it clear it's women's football? Twice this week I've gone "didn't realise there's a match on", only to quickly suss I'm being a dinlow and it's a ladies game.
I get it, you're going to keep promoting the ladies games regardless of how many or few people take an interest or if it's even that commercially viable as a spectator sport, but let's be a little bit sensible.
And while you're at it, release a functionality on BBC Sports and Sky Sports apps to opt out of updates on ladies football and rugby. It's getting bloody silly now.
Rant over!

I'd rather watch Dave Lee Travis play Macbeth.

Personally don't get the anger or annoyance towards it. Football is football imo. Amex was full tonight. Goes to show the women's game is slightly more popular than people want to admit.

Amazing what a team can do when one of the Neville brothers isn’t involved.

The annoyance is down to the fact it's being rammed down our throats mate. I should be able to opt in to Football updates on Sky Sports or BBC apps without being bombarded with updates on the woman's game. Have a different option to opt in for men's and women's football or something? They are essentially 2 different sports with 2 different followings. It's akin to spamming Premier League fans with updates on U18 or Non-League football. It's also the way I get updates saying "Liverpool beat Everton in the Derby", then you click on it and see it's a ladies game. a.) Why is someone who takes zero interest in the WSL getting that update? And b.) Why isn't it clear in the headline it's a ladies game? In this day and age where targeted marketing and media is so accurate, surely you see that this is utterly ridiculous?

Watched it this morning on iplayer. When you're used to the pace, power and physicality of the men's game, women's football is pretty tame by comparison. I guess it was fairly entertaining. I liked it when Robin whatsername said (after the England no.11 chased the ball out of play) 'Hemp's run out of grass.'

I wonder how long it takes before we see failed 'male' youth players, woke their way into a 'shemale' contract. And it will be interesting to see what they will do about it. If Paul suddenly feels like Paula, it must be his right to compete against other women, Shirley?

I just find these situations quite funny and sad at the same time, but also when higher profile sports get affected, it will hopefully put an end to the nonsense of making gender a matter of choice, when it is quite clearly a biological category.

The England Women's rugby team are pretty awesome. You really don't want to mess with them.
Also closer in skill levels to the men's game than their footballing counterparts.

Women's rugby is a better watch than women's football in my opinion. Better still women's boxing and MMA. Miles ahead of football in terms of being a commercially viable spectator sport. That Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano fight was one of the best so far this year. Far better entertainment than many of the all male cards I've watched.

White guilt apparently. And anyone who isn’t overwhelmed with it every minute of every day is clearly a racist according to the woke brigade. How can they not see that shoving it down our throats will eventually create more problems than it solves.

lol what a load of piss. the black and mixed race % in the uk is roughly 5% of the population. in england's last squad there were 10 black/mixed players out of a possible 25. that's 40% of the total squad being made up of black players.
does anyone care what colour skin their players have? no. because sport is based on merit.

We live in a meritocracy. I have no time for anyone who wants to mess with that. Even if they believe they are doing good.

If they need a case study as to how badly this stuff divides and damages a society, they just need to look at SA. They're in worse shape now than they were at the fall of apartheid. Their policies of "positive discrimination", Black Economic Empowerment and Affirmative Action have only served to push further divides through society, has destroyed their university system, damaged the labour market, driven many tax paying citizens abroad and has actually worsened corruption. They also have significantly more people living in poverty now than at any stage in their history, and the numbers are only going 1 way. But hey, they only have people of colour presenting the rugby and football at the weekend, so it's all OK! 😂

70s wernt great but it was a more simple level life. The world in a lot of ways has seriously improved since then. But in so many ways its gone backwards. Only my view but world's going to be a sterile shit place in 30 years.
