I genuinely don’t get the recent obsession in promoting the ladies game, so I’m even more aghast that they are using it in yet another attempt to be ‘do gooders’ which will inevitably do more harm than good.
Can’t we just concentrate on the game, the players playing it and forget where they come from or the colour of their skin. Won’t be too long before they start looking at which schools they went to and if they eat meat.

gotta say that was fairly enjoyable... it still seems like slow motion compared to the men's game, and it's all a bit tame, but Russo's back-heeled goal was class. Not sure why, but all the keepers I've seen look a bit ropey, probably the worst position, skill-wise, in women's football. Earps played well, but was lucky not to concede first half.

I don’t really have an opinion on women’s football/sport - take it or leave it - but I’ve yet to see a women’s game where something hasn’t made me laugh. Then again, I have been watching our donkey for a couple of years. Two things bug me though. Wimbledon - play 5 sets if you want equality, not an hour or so, and cricket against the Aussies is NOT the Ashes. That’s a unique series with history and tradition. Get your own.

Anyone should be able to play any sport. And womens football is the new media darling like taking the knee was last year. Good luck to the women cos the media will get bored soon enough as in England we all know it's the premier league and thats it. Nothing else is there if your media.

As much as we cant help mocking on occasion, I think it’s only fair to point out that our first goal was brilliantly taken. So calmly done. I reckon the majority of Championship strikers, and certainly ours, would have just blasted it high or wide.
