We should stop talking about this guy. Apart from the fact he can't be trusted to stay fit and keep himself motivated, his last contract with us was 50k a week. I suspect Benfica will be paying him something close to this, and he has a year left on his deal.
To put things into perspective, this summer we will be looking to sign players earning about 10-15% of this salary.
League 1 and league 2 is our hunting ground now, aside from the players coming through our academy. Ex top flight players are out of reach, unless they are prepared to take a huge drop in salary.

He has had a very good season this time around, a couple of MOTM awards, a few goals and lots of assists. I read an interview in the Summer where it appears the penny has dropped as to what it means to be a professional footballer and he seems to have heeded his own counsel this time. He is a defensive midfielder more now, lying deep and carrying the ball forward rather than waiting for someone to pass it to him. A little bit like the Ale Faurlin role. I'm glad he has at last seen the light even if he has left it too late to become the players he should have been. Good for QPR as we got three good seasons out of him including one great one. If he had had his head screwed on as a youngster we would never have got anywhere near signing him.

Nice article. That's 2 articles in a week in the Guardian that directly reference QPR. Maybe the media is starting to warm to us again. I certainly didn't enjoy our plummet from a lot of people's 2nd team to ridiculed pariahs. If Warbs can keep us playing attractive football (and keep us up!) the redemption should continue.

Probably ask him if he could give the club back all the money he pocketed after he signed a new contract and stopped giving a shit!
Don't get me wrong, loved watching him in a QPR shirt, but he did completely mug us off after the promotion. Embarrassing watching fans kissing his arse on Twitter in my opinion.

It’ll all be watered down smoke up his arse questions they put to him.
Fantastic player. Knob of the highest order at times too. The things I used to hear about him from coaches and players was ridiculous.
